Betfred Big Winner: Customer beats the banker to scoop £67k

A bus driver from Liverpool has pocketed £67,136 from just a ONE-POUND stake at Betfred.
And it was all down to her mother's loyalty to the world's biggest independent bookie founded by Fred Done.
She died eight years ago having never won on her regular Irish Lotto punt, but her daughter decided to keep the bet going in her memory.
She used the exact same numbers and was again unlucky on the Irish Lotto - but she opted to use a spare £1 in her account on the Beat the Banker scratchcard and after uncovering three diamond symbols she scooped the jackpot.
"I was in the house on my own and just started screaming," said the jubilant winner, who added: "I rang my son who couldn't believe it either and he asked if I was dreaming."
She's going to treat herself to new clothes and her 19-year-old son, who recently passed his driving test, is going to get a brand-new car.
"For eight years since my mother died I have been keeping up the tradition she started by using the same Irish Lottery numbers. Again, they didn’t come in but I had £1 in my account and decided to try to beat the banker game which I did!
"One hundred per cent this is my biggest win to date... and all from just a £1 bet.
"Family and friends have stuck with me through thick and thin and it will be them who will be having an absolutely great Christmas. I can guarantee them that."
Betfred boss Fred Done said:
"I'm chuffed to bits for this hard-working customer. To win so much from just a pound bet is phenomenal.
"She's going to have a right good knees up at Christmas and I'm hoping an invite will be in the post, for I know those Liverpool folk know how to party."
