Horse Racing Tips: Rosie can reel them in at Wolverhampton

There are six scheduled meetings across Britain and Ireland on Monday, with the action coming from Pontefract, Yarmouth, Killarney, Fairyhouse, Stratford and Wolverhampton.
We have two strong fancies for our Monday horse racing tips, both from the Wolverhampton meet, and they include one for trainer Jennie Candlish that is set to come on significantly for her latest run.
Horse Racing Tips - Monday, October 7
19:30 Wolverhampton - Reel Rosie @ 12/1
REEL ROSIE makes her second start for this yard and she’s been passed around a bit since leaving Hugo Palmer’s stable. That makes her valiant second on her first start for 312 days at Thirsk last month even more impressive.
She stuck to her task well and kept on nicely to claim second, despite never looking like a threat to the impressive four-length winner.
Jennie Candlish’s five-year-old is entitled to sharpen up a bit with the benefit of that run under her belt and improvement is expected with that in mind.
The bounce factor is unlikely to be an issue here, as she’s been given time to get over those exertions and this daughter of Highland Reel should be competitive once again.
Her last win came in comfortable fashion off this very mark at Chester in September 2023 and if producing a similar effort here, a return to winning ways could be on the agenda.

20:30 Wolverhampton - Sankari @ 6/5
Jack Jones’ SANKARI could be one to watch at Wolverhampton, as he will be full of confidence after a first handicap success at Southwell last month.
Always up near the pace, he took the lead with a furlong or so to go and pulled clear to score by a length-and-a-quarter. That victory came after a third-place finish at Chelmsford and he can surely build from his recent efforts.
His first success came in a Hamilton novice for previous connections, where he saw the stiff 5f out well to score comfortably. The well beaten runner-up is now rated 78 and Sankari was giving her 7lb on the day.
A 6lb penalty for this race should be manageable, if he can reproduce that level of form, and there could be more to come from the three-year-old.
