Lucky 15 Tips: Danny looks to have great chances on Tuesday’s Newcastle card

Given the near-biblical rainfall experienced by many of us in recent days the first priority regarding Tuesday's Lucky 15 should be to find somewhere that's likely to be able to race! Such a shame to lose meetings, and swift, often unexpected changes in ground conditions can scupper many a plan or wager, too.
With all this in mind I've no hesitation in heading to Newcastle's Tapeta circuit, for an eight-race all-weather card on Tuesday early evening. The action starts at 17:00, and though no meeting is entirely bomb-proof when it comes to the weather, our chances are surely better than most. Our Lucky 15 tips then are as follows;
Lucky 15 Tips, Tuesday
Newcastle
17:30 - Unique Spirit @ 6/4
A handicap staying test at just over 2m.
The selection is trained by the mighty David O'Meara and will have Danny Tudhope up top. He's a three-year-old gelding by Arc winner Waldgeist, and in a similar heat a fortnight ago was a running-on second, beaten just over a length.
Unique Spirit has benefitted the last twice for a step up to this extreme distance, narrowly failing on both occasions, and has been raised 1b by the assessor for his consistency.
He's knocking on the door very loudly right now and comes here in fine form looking to break his maiden on career start number eight. Terrific chance.
18:30 - Alreet Cha @ 15/8
A three-year-old Dandy Man filly looks to take this restricted novice and is another seeking a first career win.
Alreet Cha will have 3lb claimer William Pyle in the plate, and is trained in North Yorkshire by Craig Lidster. She's well-treated by the race conditions after having looked rather in the grip of the handicapper for some time now.
She's admirably consistent and has run very well here previously, including off marks of 71 and 72. She's down to 66 today but is well in with likely market rivals Chatty and Pinsent.
Craig looks to have found an ideal opportunity to strike.
19:00 - Thelma's Angel @ 5/2
Danny Tudhope again, this time aboard a three-year-old Dark Angel filly.
Only two starts so far, including a very useful Ayr maiden win last time. She's in this novice stakes race with a handy Racing Post Rating, but hasn't been seen since those two spins in the spring.
If trainer Gemma Tutty has Thelma's Angel suitably tuned-up she can take this from likely market hot-pot Minnie Wildes, ready scorer on her only start of a Ffos Las maiden - but that was on heavy ground.
Very different conditions here, and the selection made her debut at Gosforth Park so has had a feel for the Tapeta already (finished third, beaten 4.75l).
19:30 - Court Drive @ 9/4
Gay Kellaway raids from her Suffolk base with another three-year-old filly, by Inns Of Court out of a Dandy Man mare.
Court Drive won on debut at Wolves back in April and has been kept fairly busy since, failing to score but finishing on the heels of the principals on many occasions.
Last time a month ago here over a furlong less she finished well despite suffering interference, and I can see why connections have stepped up to 6f today. She gets the trip perfectly well at this basement Class 6 level and before that last outing had competed in a slightly higher grade every time.
Looks like the stars are aligned for this one - right trip, right grade, and the polished Harry Davies engaged for the first time to do the steering. Stand by for a late, beautifully-timed flourish.
If you're playing take care, have fun as always, and good luck.
This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £145 for your total £7.50 stake.
