Lucky 15 Tips: Four picks for Tuesday’s action

There are five meetings taking place across Britain and Ireland on Tuesday and the British action is evenly split between Flat and National fixtures.
Fontwell is the first to kick off before Beverley, Warwick and Listowel swiftly follow. Newcastle’s nine-race all-weather fixture completes proceedings. Read on for my Lucky 15 tips for Tuesday’s racing.
Lucky 15 Tips - Tuesday, September 24
14:55 Warwick – Roll With It @ 4/1
Peter & Michael Bowen’s runner ROLL WITH IT has taken pretty well to fences, finishing in the first three in four of his six starts over the larger obstacles.
He showed an abundance of stamina when winning over an extended 3m1f at Cartmel in June and he went in again at Worcester two starts later.
That performance was particularly impressive as it came in open handicap company despite being a novice and pulled easily clear to win by 10 lengths. Back up against his fellow novices here, this looks like a good opportunity.
A 10lb rise is no surprise and although it will make life harder here, he looks capable of winning more races before the handicapper catches up.
15:30 Warwick – Get Up Mush @ 15/8
Connections wasted very little time in sending GET UP MUSH over fences as he had just four starts over timber beforehand.
It was perhaps easy to see why as he was a game winner at Uttoxeter on his debut over fences and he followed that up by finishing second in soft ground off a 5lb higher mark at the same track next time.
Dan Skelton’s six-year-old dead-heated for first in July and would have undoubtedly won by himself if not for being hampered a couple of times during the race, including on the run-in.
This son of Getaway is perhaps prone to getting out-sprinted over shorter distances and the step up to three miles could facilitate further improvement.
15:45 Listowel – Princess Child @ 9/2
PRINCESS CHILD has shown some fair form in Listed company since joining Joseph O’Brien’s yard from France. She ran a cracker to finish second at the Galway Festival and was just a neck away from winning that event.
She bumped into a particularly smart filly when second again at Killarney last time out and she got the better of her stablemate Mexicali Rose who is in opposition once again.
O’Brien’s three-year-old is entitled to run another big race here and although this task will be harder now up against the boys, a 5lb allowance will definitely help her cause.
Consistent so far, it appears to be a matter of time until she wins a race at this level and this could well be the day.
17:02 Beverley – Paladin @ 9/1
Charlie Johnston’s runner PALADIN has been off the track for a year and will need to be sharp enough in order to come out on top here. That being said, Johnston runners rarely lack fitness and it’s unlikely to be an issue.
He was last seen finishing fourth over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton last year and it was a fair run off a 3lb higher mark. This horse remains lightly raced in handicaps and one would imagine that the best is yet to come.
A winner in novice company in July 2023, he should be winning races in this sphere sooner rather than later.
As a guide, a £0.50p Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the quoted prices and assuming all four won, would return around £830.69 for your total £7.50 stake.
