After a poor start to their La Liga campaign, Valencia finally picked up their first win with a 2-0 victory over Girona and Tuesday night provides another opportunity for three points against Osasuna at the Mestalla.

Read on for my Valencia vs Osasuna prediction, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Valencia vs Osasuna Betting Tips

  • Valencia to win @ 11/10
  • Dani Gomez anytime goalscorer @ 12/5

Football Odds

Losing five and drawing one of their opening five games, manager Ruben Baraja relieved some of the pressure on his shoulders after a convincing win over Girona at the weekend.

Still down in 19th place in the La Liga standings, with only rock-bottom Las Palmas below them, Los Che are back at the Mestalla on Tuesday looking to make it back-to-back league wins for the first time since mid-April.

Against an Osasuna side who have been strong at home but have struggled on their travels, another valuable three points could be on their way to Los Che after Tuesday’s clash.

Team News

Starting with the hosts, Valencia are still without first-choice striker Hygo Duro, so Dani Gomez will deputise in the central attacking role on Tuesday night.

Jose Gaya, Jaume Domenech and Mouctar Diakhaby miss out through injury, while Rafar Mir is suspended.

As for the visitors, Osasuna did not pick up any fresh injuries following their 2-1 win over strugglers Las Palmas last time out.

However, Iker Munoz and Kike Barja are continuing to recover from their respective injuries and Tuesday's game will come too soon for the pair.

Valencia are the 11/10 favourites to claim all three points, with Osasuna currently 11/4 to earn their first away win of the La Liga campaign.

A draw is available at 11/5, while over 2.5 total goals in this game is 11/8.

Valencia to win @ 11/10

Osasuna are a force to be reckoned with at home, but on the road this side tends to struggle.

Winning just three of their last 17 away games in La Liga, new manager Vicente Moreno is seeking the answers that can improve his team’s fortunes on the road.

Losing their two La Liga away games this season 4-0 at Girona and 3-1 at Rayo Vallecano, it’s hard to see Osasuna causing an upset at the Mestalla this week.

Dani Gomez anytime goalscorer @ 12/5

Looking to fill the void for the injured Duro, Dani Gomez impressed last time out with a goalscoring performance in the 2-0 win over Girona.

Given Osasuna have conceded seven goals in their last two away matches, Gomez should have plenty of chances to add to his tally this week.

A player on loan from rivals Levante, Gomez is looking to make the most of his opportunity with Los Che and the 26-year-old forward is capable of scoring in back-to-back games with a goal against Los Rojillos.
