Both still looking for their first wins of the 2024/25 season, Leicester City welcome Everton to the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon (15:00).

The Foxes shared the spoils with Crystal Palace last time out, while Everton's miserable start to the campaign continued as they dumped out of the Carabao Cup in midweek at the hands of Southampton. Read on for my Leicester vs Everton prediction as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Leicester vs Everton Betting Tips

  • Over 2.5 goals @ 4/5
  • Jamie Vardy to score anytime @ 7/4

Team News

Odsonne Edouard will return to the fold for the hosts - the Crystal Palace loanee could not face his parent club at Selhurst Park last weekend but Jamie Vardy is expected the lead the line for the Foxes.

Patson Daka and Jakub Stolarczyk both continue their recoveries from ankle problems, otherwise Steve Cooper should have a fully fit squad to choose from.

As for the Toffees, Seamus Coleman, James Garner, Idrissa Gueye, Nathan Patterson, Chermiti, Jarrad Branthwaite and Armando Broja all remain on the treatment table, while Vitaliy Mykolenko could return to the lineup after missing the cup defeat against Southampton.

Leicester vs Everton Odds

Leicester are 6/4 to win the game, giving them a 40% theoretical chance of claiming all three points, while Everton are 13/8 and the draw is 23/10.

Both teams to score is odds-on at 8/13, and there's plenty of value in backing either to win to nil - Leicester 18/5, and it's 4/1 for the Toffees to do the same.

Over 2.5 goals @ 4/5

Usually when two teams are struggling for wins at the wrong end of the table, they are also lacking a cutting edge in front of goal, but that has not necessarily been the case for Leicester or Everton so far this term.

The Foxes have both scored and conceded in all four of their league fixtures, and Everton have scored in four consecutive matches across league and cup, but they have registered just one clean sheet in their six games to date this term. In addition, their tally of 13 goals conceded in the Premier League is the most in the division.

The absences of Coleman and Branthwaite won't help the Toffees defensively, which makes me lean towards backing a high-scoring game.

Jamie Vardy to score anytime @ 7/4

Vardy continues to perform at a Premier League level, following his recent strikes against Tottenham and Crystal Palace.

The 37-year-old now has 138 career goals in the English top flight and seven of those have come in 14 appearances against Everton, including when the two teams last met - a 2-2 draw at the King Power Stadium in May 2023.

Vardy will be licking his lips at the prospect of facing a makeshift Everton defence, and 7/4 for a goal anytime represents good value, in my opinion.
