Huddersfield Giants vs London Broncos Predictions: Kershaw to score on Sunday

There's not a huge amount to play for as ninth meets 12th but this Betfred Super League fixture between Huddersfield Giants and London Broncos at the John Smith's Stadium on Sunday (15:00, Sky Sports+) will tell us a lot about Huddersfield's starting position under newly confirmed head coach Luke Robinson.
It also provides another opportunity for London to prove they belong in the top flight ahead of their expected demotion in the brave new world of IMG. Read on for my Huddersfield Giants vs London Broncos predictions and all the latest team news.
Huddersfield Giants vs London Broncos Betting Tips
Huddersfield Giants vs London Broncos
The Giants are 2/9 to win on Sunday, giving them an implied win probability of 81.8%, while the Broncos are 7/2, or a 22.2% chance, to claim victory. The draw, meanwhile, can be backed at 20/1.
Team News
The Giants gave interim head coach Luke Robinson the job full-time this week, and the club's former scrum-half makes two changes for the visit of the basement boys.
Both changes are enforced, with Fenton Rogers seeing his season ended by a four-match ban, and Sam Hewitt picking up a one-game suspension that sees him ruled out this week.
So the versatile Adam Milner returns to the squad - he is set to leave the Giants at the end of the season - as does Oliver Wilson.
The Broncos make one change, with head coach Mike Eccles able to recall scrum-half James Meadows after a knee injury that had threatened to end his season. Meadows takes the place of Dan Hoyes.
Still sidelined are hooker Dean Parata, Bill Leyland, full-back Alex Walker, Matt Davies, Jack Hughes and Jordan Williams.
Handicap 3-way - Huddersfield Giants -12 @ 20/21
This is an intriguing match-up with London yet again coming close to a big win last week before falling short by a golden point against Leeds for the second time this season.
And while Huddersfield's form hasn't noticeably picked up since the departure of Ian Watson, there is a clear feeling around the club that the players are enjoying life under Robinson. With the role now secured this should enable his players to relax and impress but of course, it doesn't always work that way.
This is a fixture that I expect the Giants to win and their record against London is formidable. Huddersfield have beaten the Broncos on each of their last 19 meetings dating back to 2008, and their only meeting this season saw the Giants win 26-6 in the capital.
I feel London have improved a lot since then so the handicap is probably about right. Make no mistake, this is a game London could well win on the road, with the Giants having thrown up some real dross this season.
But I just feel Huddersfield's uninspiring season does have a couple of bright spots left in it. They had a real go at St Helens last week before succumbing 18-10 and were clearly reeling from their awful 60-10 loss at Salford the week earlier.
The Giants are more likely to get it right at home, having only lost to Catalans by a single point, and beaten a decent Castleford side 20-12.
I'm backing Robinson's men to have too much for London and to cover the handicap.
Lee Kershaw Anytime Tryscorer @ 6/4
A reliable finisher, the former Wakefield man has proved a useful winger for London this season and crossed last week in the Broncos' agonising golden-point defeat to Leeds.
London are always good for a few points, whether they win or not, and your best bets are usually Ethan Natoili, Josh Rourke, or Kershaw.
I'm favouring the latter two this week and fancy Kershaw to catch the Giants cold on the outside.
