Roland garros french open tennis

Sunday brings plenty of tennis action from around the world but most of the focus is on Paris for the Olympic Games, where most of the biggest stars from the ATP and WTA Tours have gathered, hoping to add a rare title to their CVs.

It's from Paris that my tennis betting tips come from, and you will find them below.

Cameron Norrie to beat Tallon Griekspoor @ 10/11

Great Britain's Cameron Norrie gets his Paris adventure underway with a clash against the Netherlands' Tallon Griekspoor. They both head into this match off the backs of defeat at the Swedish Open, with Norrie losing to the King of Clay, Rafael Nadal.

In 2024, the Brit has a 17-15 record and he reached the semi-final of the Rio Open which was his best performance of the year to date. He has no previous experience against Griekspoor as this will be their first meeting, but the Dutchman has posted two semi-final appearances this year at the Rotterdam Open and the Libema Open. Griekspoor's record for 2024 is 21-17.

Having won two career titles, I think Norrie holds a huge advantage heading into this contest which should serve him well. I have him to progress to the next round.

Cameron norrie to win at 10/11 Magda Linette to beat Mirra Andreeva @ 5/2

This should be a fascinating encounter in the French capital as both Magda Linette and Mirra Andreeva won titles before heading to the Olympics. Poland's Linette defeated compatriot Magdalena Frech in straight sets to claim the Prague Open title, while Andreeva won against Elina Avanesyan by walkover after the match came to an end in the deciding third set of the Iasi Open final.

Both have had quick turnarounds to feature here so this will be a huge test of stamina. Typically, you'd think the advantage would lie with youth, in which 17-year-old Andreeva might have the edge. However, I am backing the veteran Linette to come out on top here because her final was wrapped up in quicker fashion than her opponent, having beaten Frech in straight sets.

Due to this, I think Linette will have a bit more left in the tank if required should this match go the distance. As someone who is still quite raw to tour-level tennis, I think we could see some fatigue come into Andreeva's game. In this instance, I'm backing experience over youth.

Magda linette to win at 5/2 Barbora Krejcikova to beat Sara Sorribes Tormo 2-0 @ 9/10

Barbora Krejcikova heads to the Olympics fresh from her Wimbledon triumph earlier this month and she will be looking forward to being back on clay in Paris, having won the French Open back in 2021.

The Czech star will face a tough test in the first round against Spain's Sara Sorribes Tormo, who is one of the most determined players on the circuit. She cannot afford to show any complacency, but as she showed in SW19, she can respond firmly after a momentum shift on court.

Having claimed a major only a few weeks ago, the 28-year-old will be fancying her chances to venture far here, and she has what it takes to take home a medal. She is in better form than her opponent currently which is why I fancy her to get the win and progress to the next round. Her odds to win outright are not glamorous, so I have gone for her to win in straight sets instead.
