Horse Racing Tips: Status can strike in Hackwood

There are eight scheduled meetings across Britain and Ireland this Saturday. First off are the Curragh, Market Rasen, Cartmel, Newbury and Ripon, before the three evening meetings come from Newmarket, Doncaster and Haydock.
Amongst my horse racing tips for Saturday is a three-year-old sprinter representing Karl Burke on Newbury's Premier Raceday.
Horse Racing Tips - Saturday, July 20
14:05 Market Rasen - Pyffo @ 4/1
PYFFO has strong win claims in the Class 3 extended 2m4f handicap hurdle at Market Rasen, representing Jonjo and AJ O'Neill.
The six-year-old has registered 12211 form figures since the spring, getting off the mark over hurdles with a 17-length success over this course and distance in March.
He returned to winning ways over an extended 2m5f on decent ground at Fontwell in June and followed up from a 5lb lower mark in a better-class handicap over an extended 2m7f at Uttoxeter last month.
The Shantou gelding is likely to get out on the lead in this contest and should take some stopping on this hat-trick attempt, dropping back slightly in trip.
This is an Extra Place race, therefore Betfred will be paying 4 places instead of 3 at 1/5 odds.
15:00 Newbury - Elite Status @ 10/3
ELITE STATUS is representing Karl Burke in the 10-runner Group 3 6f Hackwood Stakes at Newbury.
Burke is 10-61 (16 percent) in the past 14 days and Elite Status is bidding to cement the lasting impression he made when winning the Listed 5f National Stakes by five lengths on a decent surface at Sandown in May 2023.
The Havana Grey colt's juvenile form tapered off after winning the Group 3 6f Prix De Cabourg at Deauville in July, but he kept on well to register an impressive success in the Listed Carnarvon Stakes over this course and distance on good ground on his three-year-old reappearance in May.
The selection is returning from another small break. He should appreciate the confirmed target the six-year-old Regional is likely to become on the front-end and is thought capable of getting to grips with that classy older sprinter in the closing stages.
15:35 Newbury - Time For Sandals @ 5/1
There are a plethora of prominent runners engaged right across the track in the £250,000 Class 2 5f Weatherbys Super Sprint Stakes for two-year-olds from Newbury, and it may pay to ignore TIME FOR SANDALS being drawn in a historically concerning low draw in stall one, seeing as she is likely to be held up in any case.
The juvenile filly is representing Harry Eustace, who has an 83% Run-To-Form figure in the past 14 days, and Eustace is 4-25 (16% +£2.75) with his runners on this course.
Richard Kingscote is continuing his association in the saddle and is 3-8 (38 percent +£7.75) when riding for the Eustace yard.
The daughter of Sands Of Mali shaped encouragingly for this drop back to the minimum trip on turf when coming through to make a winning debut over 6f at Kempton last month and is thought capable of making the most of her handy racing weight in this valuable sales contest.
This is an Extra Place race, therefore Betfred will be paying 4 places instead of 3 at 1/5 odds.
