Nottingham Tips: Snow Berry can enhance Appleby record further

Amongst the eight scheduled meetings across Britain and Ireland on Friday will be an afternoon card from Nottingham. It's a six-race card from 14:15-17:11 at Nottingham, with conditions forecast to be 'good to soft, soft in places.’
My Nottingham tips for Friday feature a veteran sprinter who looks to have rediscovered his old form and a progressive four-year-old looking to back up a win last time out.
Nottingham Tips - Friday, July 19
14:50 - Belsito @ 5/1
The second race on the card, the Follow Us On X @betrhino Handicap, is a competitive affair but there is one horse that looks on the up and can continue to improve.
BELSITO overcame a bad start on his last run at Carlisle to win and that effort can be marked up as a result.
Kevin Ryan’s charge was making his first appearance in cheekpieces, which have been retained here. That was also on soft ground, conditions which the four-year-old seemed to enjoy and he looks likely to get again in the Midlands.
Before that, Belsito had put in a number of consistent performances, and the headgear and ground conditions could eke out further improvement, which may still be untapped.
Top weight Kodi Red is respected after a win at Doncaster but with Paula Muir’s three-pound claim, Belsito can continue his progression.
This is an Extra Place race, therefore Betfred will be paying 4 places instead of 3 at 1/5 odds.
16:00 - Breckenridge @ 11/8
Experience can often be crucial with horses trying to get off the mark and BRECKENRIDGE could utilise hers to win what looks a weak Follow Rhino.Bet On Instagram EBF Fillies' Restricted Novice Stakes.
Kevin Philippart De Foy’s charge was a runner-up two starts ago and was staying on at the line over this trip in her last outing at Goodwood.
The slower conditions here could suit and the jockey booking of James Doyle is eye-catching in what looks a winnable race.
Most of her opposition have shown little on the race course to get excited about and as the only horse to have run more than once, the filly is fancied to put her experience to good use.
17:11 - Snow Berry @ 2/1
A five-runner sprint rounds off the card at Nottingham and it’s hard to see past SNOW BERRY following up success over course and distance last time out.
Mick Appleby’s six-year-old has won five times in her career, two of which have come at this course.
After falling to a basement mark, the daughter of Dragon Pulse looks capable of taking another success at this racecourse.
Mick Appleby has a rock-solid record at Nottingham, winning 15 percent of the time and producing a profit of £168.23 to a £1 level stake.
His sprinter can add to that tally.
