I’m approaching this from a head over heart point of view, and all statistics point to a Spain win in the final. They’ve been by far the best team at Euro 2024, and have beaten some truly elite teams to reach this point. Croatia and Italy were taken care of in the group stage, while Georgia, Germany and France have been mere stepping stones to Berlin. 

Rodri and Fabian Ruiz have been superb in midfield while Dani Olmo, Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams and Alvaro Morata make up a threatening attacking quartet. I just don’t see how England stop them in Berlin, and I’m expecting Spain to get the job done in 90 minutes.

Despite all of the criticism around England playing boring football this summer, both teams have scored in each of their knockout matches. They've also conceded first in all three, but come back roaring each time, and with the attacking quality on show I’m expecting both teams to find the net here. 

Spain have scored the most goals at this tournament, but their defence hasn’t been perfect - as they have also conceded in every knockout game so far. With Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden, England should be able to find the net, even in defeat.

Lamine Yamal to score

The teenage superstar turns 17 the day before the final, and he’s been outrageously good during this tournament. He is battling it out with Jude Bellingham for the Young Player of the Tournament award and if Yamal does something special in the final, he may scoop the Player of the Tournament award too. 

His goal in the semi-final was nothing short of superb, and he has announced himself on the world stage. Up against Kieran Trippier or Luke Shaw, I think he will have plenty of joy on the ball, and he could score a goal to break England’s hearts.

Bellingham is going to be going full throttle throughout this entire final. He is a big-game player, and he will want to put absolutely everything into the biggest game of his career so far.
