Salford Red Devils have the perfect chance to bounce back from back-to-back defeats when they welcome Super League’s bottom club London Broncos to the Salford Community Stadium on Sunday (KO, 15:00).

Paul Rowley’s men have been humbled by local rivals Wigan and Leigh in recent weeks but will be expected to return to winning ways against a London side with just one win in 12. Read below for my Salford Red Devils vs London Broncos predictions and all the latest team news.

Team News

Salford are without their star full-back Ryan Brierley who has been struggling with an injury and drops out this week, so there is a place in the squad for Nathan Connell after impressing for the reserves.

New boy Harvey Wilson looks in line to make his Red Devils debut after joining last week from Wigan on a permanent deal.

The Broncos have homegrown half-back James Meadows back in the mix but injury rules out Italy International Ethan Natoli.

Salford are huge favourites at 1/66 to triumph on Sunday, while the visitors are 12/1, and the draw is 33/1.

Handicap 3-way London Broncos 30 @ 7/5

Even without talisman Ryan Brierley I really like this fixture for Salford and I will turn a blind eye to their indifferent recent performances in those two successive defeats. At home against a team like London Broncos, the Red Devils will throw the ball about, create chances and score points.

The meeting in the capital earlier this season was surprisingly tight, with Salford edging home 12-4 but I think this will be a different story. London Broncos haven’t beaten Salford since 2018 and I’m anticipating a fast start from Rowley’s men.

Value on the handicap however takes a little bit of looking at to find, such are the overwhelming expectations of a home win. So I’m going to look at London Broncos on the handicap, and I quite like the look of 7/5 on them with a 30-point start. I’m confident Salford will win, and probably win handsomely, but I am going to lean towards the visitors to be within 30 points.

Handicap 3-way london broncos 30 vs salford red devils @ 7-5

Chris Hankinson and Kallum Watkins to score a try anytime @ 4/1

In a game promising bags of points and tries I’m going to double up for a bit of value on two of my favourite Salford players.

Kallum Watkins is ageing like a fine wine since his switch from centre to second row, and Chris Hankinson – in between injuries – has been a revelation since his move from Championship side Featherstone.

Both players look like a good shout to score in this game so I am going for the pair to both find their way over the line at 4/1.

Chris hankinson and kallum watkins to score a try anytime @ 4-1
