The Europa League group stages continue on Thursday and Rangers travel to Cyprus to face Aris Limassol, with a 17:45 KO. We’ve previewed the match and given you our best betting selections.

Aris Limassol vs Rangers Betting Tips

  • Rangers to win and Both teams to score – 5/2
  • Mariusz Stępiński to score – 16/5

Glasgow Rangers (5/6) look to continue their perfect start to the Europa League group stages, without the man who took them there.

Michael Beale was unceremoniously sacked on Sunday, after a disastrous 3-1 defeat on Saturday, in front of their own fans by Aberdeen.

The 43-year-old lasted less than a year at the club and was ultimately dismissed after a string of poor results sealed his fate.

While the Gers faithful await nervously to see who will be installed as Beale’s replacement, they have this fun little jaunt to sunny Cyprus to look forward to in the meantime.

Aris Limassol (3/1) were beaten narrowly 3-2 in the Czech Republic last time out in Group C, as Sparta Prague picked up three points to sit atop the table alongside Rangers.

The Glasgow side surprisingly turned over the group favourites Real Betis 1-0 in gameweek 1, thanks to a 67th minute Abdallah Sima goal.

Another win here would see Rangers taking a really positive position in the table, ahead of back-to-back fixtures against Prague for the new manager.

Team news

Aris boss Aleksey Shpilevsky has no new major injury issues ahead of this tie.

Steven Davis and his stand-in team are without Kemar Roofe, Todd Cantwell, Danilo and Kieran Dowell for the trip to Limassol.

Rangers to win and Both teams to score – 5/2

Rangers showed how vulnerable they were at the back at Ibrox on Saturday and I think they will be breached again here.

Limassol have scored in eight of their last nine games, before the 1-0 loss to city rivals Apollon Limassol at the weekend but were down to 10 men at the time.

That said, Rangers should have too much quality for the Cypriot side and I expect them to come out worthy winners.

Mariusz Stępiński to score – 16/5

The 28-year-old has hit the ground running this season, with three goals in five Cypriot League games already.

The former Polish international has bounced around a few clubs in Europe but has settled in Limassol and is in his 3rd season with the club.

Stepinski has also registered two goals in Europe already this year, in Aris’ failed bid to make the Champions League group stages.
