Parramatta Eels vs South Sydney Rabbitoh Odds

After a run of four consecutive victories, South Sydney look to be on a roll and are 8/11 to collect another victory on Thursday.

Despite being at home, Parramatta are the underdogs and are 6/5 to win the game, while the draw can be backed at 20/1.

Team News

The Eels are set to hand a debut to Jake Tago, who will come in on the wing due to a hamstring injury suffered by Maika Sivo.

There is also a place on the bench for another debutant, with back-rower Charlie Guymer stepping up to the first-team squad.

South Sydney are boosted by the returns of Cameron Murray and Latrell Mitchell, who both missed the win over Manley in Week 16.

Jye Gray and Michael Chee Kam are set to drop out of the line-up, while Liam Le Blanc - who made his first appearance in the defeat to the Knights last weekend.

Rabbitohs – Handicap 2-Way (-1.5) @ 5/6

With 10 weeks left of the regular season, the Rabbitohs will believe they can make the play-offs, with Ben Hornby’s men currently four points behind eighth-placed St George Illawarra Dragons.

The Bunnies have won all of their last four matches, with two of those wins coming against teams above them in the table.

South Sydney have certainly been an attacking threat in the last month, scoring 124 points in that four-game run - including 46 in their last away game against the Titans.

That will be a real concern for Parramatta, who go into this clash having lost their last three and conceded 84 points in the process.

It was Week 12 when these two teams last met, when the Rabbitohs ran out 42-26 victors at Stadium Australia.

The return of two key players in Murray and Mitchell, who scored a try for New South Wales in their State of Origin Game Two win, will be a massive boost for the visitors.

Rabbitohs handicap at 5/6 Rabbitohs to score first 2 tries @ 100/30

In the reverse fixture at the end of May, the Rabbitohs ran in four tries before the half-hour mark and before the Eels managed to get any points on the scoreboard.

On their four-game unbeaten run, South Sydney have been getting off to quick starts and have scored the first two tries in each of those matches.

The 14-0 win over Manly last time out saw Hornby’s team cross the whitewash twice in the first 21 minutes.

This market also favours the Rabbitohs when you consider that the Eels will be without their leading try scorer Sivo.
