Chelsea appear to have turned a corner, having won their last two Premier League matches on the bounce without conceding. This mini-revival has put them back in contention for a Europa League spot, and they are now just two points behind Newcastle United in sixth. Next up for Mauricio Pochettino comes a trip to Nottingham Forest, who know that one more win should be enough to keep them in the Premier League for another season.

This one kicks off at 17:30 on Saturday, live on Sky Sports Main Event, and we should be in for a treat at the City Ground. Below you can find my Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea Bet Builder Tips for this pivotal clash at both ends of the table.

Chelsea to win

An easy one to get us underway in my eyes. Forest need to get three points on the board, but even at home, I think Chelsea will have too much for them. It’s taken the best part of an entire season, but I think we are seeing real shoots of progress from some of these young players.

Pochettino is also being helped by the return of some injured stars. Malo Gusto and Christopher Nkunku are now available, while Levi Colwill also returned to the bench against West Ham United. I think they can come out on top here, based on their attacking quality, and the fact that Forest have conceded 63 goals already this term.

Cole Palmer to score

If we think Chelsea will score at least once, it makes sense to pick out their star man, and penalty taker, to find the net. Palmer has just been named April’s Player of the Month in the Premier League and has been nominated for the Young Player of the Season award, after a stonking first season in the capital.

21 goals in 31 Premier League games is no joke, and he got another as he scored in the 5-0 win over West Ham last time out. I just don’t think that Forest are going to be able to handle the winger who has surely booked himself a place in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad this summer.

Over 9.5 corners

Back to the corner bets to boost our odds here, and both of these teams have been racking up the corners of late. There’s been an average of 10.82 corners per match in the Premier League this season, while Forest have been hovering around that figure for the last four matches.

Their games have seen eight, nine, 10 and 11 corners over the last few weeks, but Chelsea have had 13 corners in each of their last two matches. As a result I believe we will see plenty of set-pieces at the City Ground, and I’m setting the line at over 9.5 total corners, which is more than achievable between these two teams.

Morgan Gibbs-White to be carded

The most-booked player in the Nottingham Forest team this season is, perhaps surprisingly, Morgan Gibbs-White. I’m happy to back him to pick up his tenth yellow of the campaign here, and he is almost guaranteed to play 90 minutes with Forest in desperate need of the points.

He’s picked up nine Premier League yellow cards so far this term, and five of those have come in the last three months. As Forest get scrappy, expect their feisty attacking midfielder to get stuck in.
