With Millwall still looking over their shoulders at the bottom three, the Lions will be going all out to overcome visitors Cardiff City in the Championship on Saturday afternoon (15:00).

The Lions gave their hopes of avoiding the drop a significant boost, while throwing a spanner in the works for Leicester City’s title challenge, with a 1-0 win over the Foxes in midweek.

Now four points above the relegation places with four games left to play, boss Neil Harris welcomes his former club Cardiff to The Den. Below is our Millwall vs Cardiff prediction, featuring match odds and team news.

Millwall vs Cardiff Prediction

  • Millwall to win to nil @ 8/5
  • Ryan Longman to score anytime @  10/3

Team News

Harris has no fresh injury concerns following his side’s win over Leicester on Tuesday night, so it would be little surprise to see the same XI take the field.

Murray Wallace, Joe Bryan, Duncan Watmore and Kevin Nisbet are all recovering from their respective injuries and are expected to remain on the sidelines.

As for Cardiff, boss Erol Bulut is likely to be without veteran Aaron Ramsey, meaning Rubin Colwill could be handed a starting role.

Mark McGuinness and Callum O'Dowda missed Wednesday’s 1-0 win at Birmingham City and are likely to still be sidelined for the weekend.

Match Odds

Millwall are 5/6 - or a 54.5% chance - to claim another valuable three points on Saturday, while Cardiff are 4/1 to head back to South Wales with a victory under their belts.

A draw at The Den is available at 23/10, while under 2.5 total goals in what could be a cagey contest is currently 8/15.

Millwall to win to nil @ 8/5

The Den has not been a happy hunting ground for the Bluebirds over recent years, with Cardiff failing to win at the home of the Lions in any of their last six visits.

One has to go back to September 2012 for the last time Cardiff earned three points at Millwall, with Peter Whittingham and Craig Noone scoring in a 2-0 victory.

The last meeting between these sides in the English capital ended in a 2-0 win for the hosts last season and Millwall to win to nil again this weekend comes in at 8/5.

Ryan Longman to score anytime @  10/3

Ryan Longman was the hero for Millwall in midweek with his stunning strike from range helping the Lions take down the Foxes.

A winger on loan from fellow second-tier side Hull City, Longman has now scored both of Millwall’s last two goals in the Championship, as the 23-year-old has started to find his shooting boots in recent weeks.

With the confidence he will have undoubtedly been given from that wonder goal against Leicester, keep an eye out for Longman to strike again on Saturday at 10/3 in the anytime goalscorer market.
