Finalists of Euro 96, Czechia are looking to repeat the feat and overcome that final hurdle when they compete at Euro 2024 this summer in Germany.

Euro 2024 Predictions - Czechia
Losing to the Germans in that final in 96 is the closest the Czech Republic have come to lifting the prestigious trophy.
When competing as Czechoslovakia, the nation did manage to win the European Championship back in 1976.
The Czechs raised eyebrows at Euro 2020 as they managed to reach the quarter-finals of the competition before a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Denmark.
Many of those players who reached the last eight at the last European Championship will have learned from the experience and are back in the squad this time around.
Looking to compete at the business end of the tournament once again, manager Ivan Hasek knows his side must negotiate a tricky group to progress.

Given the quality in the squads of the serious contenders at Euro 2024, it would be one of the biggest shocks in the competition’s history if they were to lift the trophy in Germany this summer.
That’s not to say the Czechs can’t be there competing in and around the quarter-final stage of the tournament again this year.
To Qualify From Group F @ 8/13
Drawn in Group F with the likes of Portugal, Turkey and Georgia, the Czechs should fancy their chances of at least making the last 16.
Former champions Portugal will undoubtedly be the favourites, but the Czech Republic have caused big teams problems in the past and should qualify from the group.
To Win Group F @ 6/1
As mentioned, the Czechs will have to overcome Portugal if they are to finish top of the pile in Group F.
Georgia, featuring in their first European Championship, should prove no match for the Czechs, while Turkey will provide a sterner test.
The Czech Republic stunned the Netherlands at Euro 2020 in the round of 16 and should not be discounted for top spot in Group F here.
Top Team Goalscorer - Patrik Schick @ 7/4
One of the stars of Euro 2020, Patrik Schick will take some stopping to be denied being the Czech Republic’s top goalscorer in Germany.
Schick finished as joint-top goalscorer at the last European Championship alongside Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo with five, but missed out on the Golden Boot due to tie-breaking assist criteria established by Uefa.
At a good price, Schick is certainly worth considering to be the top goalscorer for his country in Germany this summer.
