The Minnesota Vikings have won the last five head-to-heads against their NFC rival Chicago Bears and will be aiming to extend that when they host them on Monday Night Football.

Both teams suffered close defeats last time out and so will be looking to get back on track in this clash.

Team news

Larry Borom, D’onta Foreman, Lucas Patrick and Noah Sewell did not practice this week for the Chicago Bears but full-back Khari Blasingame looks likely to be fit after featuring.

For the Minnesota Vikings, Akayleb Evans, T.J. Hockenson both had limited participation in this week’s practice, along with star receiver Justin Jefferson.

However, Brian Asamoah II and the quarterback pair of Jaren Hall and Nick Mullens both took full part in practice.

Match odds

The Minnesota Vikings can be backed at 8/13 for the victory, while the Chicago Bears are 13/10 outsiders. Over 43.5 points in the clash is priced up at 20/21.

Minnesota Vikings -2.5 @ 10/13

Turnovers cost the Minnesota Vikings last week as they coughed it up three times in a narrow defeat to the Denver Broncos that saw them fall to 6-5.

A 21-20 defeat brought to an end a five-game winning streak and they will be hoping to regain the winning thread against the 3-8 Chicago Bears.

The Bears were 26-14 up late in the fourth quarter last week against the Detroit Lions before eventually losing 31-26 and that may have taken the wind out of their sails.

Quarterback Justin Fields is back from injury, but they still look vulnerable in this clash, particularly if star receiver Justin Jefferson returns for the Vikings.

Minnesota have won seven of their last eight home games against divisional opponents and with Josh Dobbs continuing to impress as leader of the offense, they can cover the handicap in victory once more.

After a tough loss to the Denver Broncos last time out, one of the few positives for the Minnesota Vikings was the effectiveness of their running game, they rushed for an impressive 175 yards.

Quarterback Josh Dobbs was a big part of that and the gunslinger has 131 rushing yards in the three games he has played since being traded to the Vikings.

The 28-year-old also has three rushing touchdowns already for his new team and could add to that tally in this game.
