Super Bowl 2025 Predictions: Back the Chiefs to make history
All eyes will be on New Orleans, and the Caesars Superdome, for Super Bowl LIX on Sunday night (23:30, live on Sky Sports Main Event) as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Chiefs are on the brink of immortality as they're one win away from becoming the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowls, while the Eagles are seeking revenge for the 2023 showpiece defeat to KC. Team News
Brandon Graham, Kenny Gainwell, Britain Covey, and C.J. Uzomah are all questionable for the Eagles, while the likes of Zack Baun, DeVonta Smith, Landon Dickerson and Cam Jurgens didn't participate in practice, but are expected to feature this weekend.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs are without Mecole Hardman and Rashee Rice for the Super Bowl due to knee injuries, while Skyy Moore is a doubt.
Jawaan Taylor has been managing a knee issue throughout the post-season but should be available for Kansas City on Sunday.
Match Odds
The Chiefs are slight favourites on the moneyline at 5/6 in comparison to Philly who are 1/1, while it's the opposite on the spread - the Eagles (+1.5) are 5/6 to cover, while it's 1/1 for the Chiefs (-1.5) to do the same.
Saquon Barkley leads the anytime tryscorer market at 4/9, while Travis Kelce is shortest-priced for Kansas City at 11/10.

Similar to last year, the Chiefs weren't that great during the regular season - despite what a regular-season record of 15-2 might suggest - yet they find themselves in the Super Bowl yet again, on the brink of creating history.
KC rode their luck in some tight games early on in the campaign - the 26-25 victory over the Bengals, and the 22-17 triumph against the Falcons immediately spring to mind.
However, we're now in the stage of the season where this Chiefs team grows in confidence, and I find so difficult to bet against Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes, who both come alive in the big moments.
The 2023 Super Bowl between the two teams produced a classic - a 38-35 win for the Chiefs that went down to the wire, and I believe we're in for a similar kind of contest on Sunday.
Saquon Barkley has enjoyed a stellar first season in the City of Brotherly Love, and I think the Eagles will prioritise the run game as they did against the Commanders. Their defence is among the best in the entire league, so they certainly won't go down without a fight.
However, experience counts massively in these big moments in my opinion, and the Chiefs have got bags of it. Eight of the squad have never lost a play-off game, and the majority of the rest have multiple rings to their name. KC also have the mental edge over Philly heading into Sunday having already beaten them on this stage just two years ago.
I'm siding with the Chiefs to edge a thriller and secure a famous three-peat.

I'm basing this pick off the 2023 Super Bowl, which turned into an offensive shoot-out by the end.
Ironically, both teams are known for their elite defences, but they each have explosive offensive weapons at their disposal. I've touched on Barkley in my previous pick, and he can turn a game on its head at any moment.
Mahomes could arguably cement himself as the greatest quarterback in NFL history (perhaps a controversial opinion) if the Chiefs three-peat on Sunday, and Jalen Hurts is among the best QBs in the NFL, too. There's a reason the last Super Bowl between the teams produced 73 points.
Throw in the likes of Travis Kelce, JuJu Smith-Schuster, A.J. Brown and Dallas Goedert, and it's easy to see why the price for this tip is so short.
