The San Antonio Spurs will be hoping to bounce back from a heavy defeat on Wednesday, when they travel to the Footprint Center on Tuesday night (02:00 Wednesday morning UK time) to take on the Phoenix Suns.

San Antonio were blown out 123-83 by the LA Clippers last time out, while the Suns got the better of the Utah Jazz, emerging as 126-104 winners.

Suns vs Spurs Prediction

  • Phoenix Suns (-7.5) @ EVS
  • Over 22.5.5 points @ 10/11

Team News

The 2-1 Suns could likely be without two of their top stars in Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.

Beal has only played in a handful of preseason games and will have missed all four regular season tilts played thus far if he doesn't suit up against San Antonio. Booker is listed as doubtful, as he continues to deal with an ankle injury.

As for the Spurs, they have no fresh injury concerns ahead of this matchup.

Match Odds

As expected, the Suns are huge favourites on the moneyline at 1/3, while the Spurs are 12/5 to steal a win in Arizona.

Phoenix Suns (-7.5) @ EVS

Phoenix won't be fully healthy on Tuesday night, but this team is still good enough to cover against the inexperienced Spurs.

Even with the highly-touted rookie Victor Wembanyama, the Suns represent a strong test for San Antonio, and while they could make it competitive if they limit the turnovers, I think Phoenix have too much firepower.

The blowout loss to the Clippers shows that San Antonio still have a lot of work to do to turn themselves into a playoff team.

Over 225.5 points @ 10/11

There isn't much to split the two teams in terms of points per game, with Phoenix averaging 109.7, and the Spurs averaging 109.3. However, it's important to remember that Kevin Durant has been carrying the majority of offensive burden for the Suns due to the injuries to Booker and Beal.

However, San Antonio's defense is where they have fallen short - they are allowing an average of 123.7 points per game, which is the second-highest in the entire NBA.

Durant's scoring prowess, combined with the defensive frailties of the Spurs, is why I'm taking the over on the points total.
