The top two teams in the NFC West square off on Thanksgiving's primetime game (01:20 Friday am), as the San Francisco 49ers visit the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field.

Seahawks vs 49ers Betting Tips

  • 49ers -7.5 Handicap - 10/11
  • Christian McCaffrey +74.5 Rushing Yards and to score a TD - 10/11

Seattle come into this pivotal divisional match up in  pretty banged up shape.

Not only is their quarterback Geno Smith struggling with an elbow injury picked up in Sunday's loss to the LA Rams but two of their main attacking threats in DK Metcalf and Kenneth Walker III have been absent from practise. Not the best time to face a 49ers side that are back on the winning trail, following a three game losing streak.

Kyle Shanahan responded quickly to those losses with the addition of Chase Young from Washington, which has seen them go 2-0 since the trade and has freed up Nick Bosa, who has picked up five QB hits and 2.5 sacks, since Young walked into Levi's Stadium.

Pete Carroll's men are just one game behind the 49ers in the NFC West and a win here in front of their raucous fans would put them back level, with just six games to play in the regular season.

Team news

The Hawks got some good news on Tuesday afternoon as QB Geno Smith was a limited participant in practise and was reported as feeling a little better.

However, receivers DK Metcalf (toe) and Dareke Young were not involved due to injury, as was leading running back Kenneth Walker III who is still suffering with a niggling oblique injury.

For the 49ers, guard Aaron Banks was also limited with a toe issue, as well as defensive lineman Javon Hargrave, who missed training for a second straight day with a thumb injury.

Game odds

The 49ers come into this one as the big favourites at 3/10 S/U, with Seattle priced at 13/5.  San Fran are a +7.5 favourite ATS at 10/11 and the total points line is set around 43.5.

49ers -7.5 Handicap - 10/11

The 49ers look to have their mojo back and their back-to-back victories were by a combined 44 points.

This Seahawks team isn't a great one and with three of their key attacking personnel either out or injured in some way, it's hard to see how they are going to rack up the points.

The San Francisco defense looks back to it's best and the offense is grinding merrily along under the efficient Brock Purdy.

Christian McCaffrey +74.5 Rushing Yards and to score a TD - 10/11

One key part of that offense is dual-threat running back Christian McCaffrey.  There was no doubt about CMC's talent but there was plenty about his durability.

However, the 27-year-old has remained fairly injury free in his time on the West Coast and boy has he made it pay.

He has 14 touchdowns in just 10 games this season and is averaging 82.5 yards of rushing on the year.

He should have a field day on Thanksgiving.
