There is plenty to play for in Thursday’s clash in the NFL when the Los Angeles Rams host the New Orleans Saints at the SoFi Stadium.

Both teams have play-off ambitions and share identical 7-7 records, while they are also second in their respective divisions.

The Rams are trailing the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC West and are no longer able to catch them, but the Saints are tied with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the summit of the NFC South, so a win could go a long way to helping them secure top spot.

Rams vs Saints Betting Tips

  • Los Angeles Rams -4.5 handicap @ 20/21
  • Over 45.5 points @ 10/11

Team News

With both teams having played on Sunday, this is a short week for both sets of players, so the true extent of their injuries will not be known until later in the week.

The Saints have both Michael Thomas and Marshon Lattimore on IR, while Carl Granderson, Cameron Jordan and Lonnie Johnson Jr. are considered questionable.

Rams coach Sean McVay added four players to the questionable list, with Joe Noteboom, Rob Havenstein, Ahkello Witherspoon and Tre Tomlinson all hoping to prove their fitness on Thursday evening.

Match Odds

The Rams are considered 1/2 favourites on the Money Line, which is no surprise as they are 4-3 at home this season. The Saints are as big as 17/10, but they have won their previous three games on the road as underdogs.

Los Angeles are 20/23 to win with a -4.5 handicap, while the Saints can be backed at 20/21 to cover the +3.5 line.

The points total is set at 44.5, with odds of 10/11 available for the match to surpass that.

Los Angeles Rams -4.5 handicap @ 20/21

After four defeats in five games between Week 5 and Week 9, the Rams have got back on track to say the least. McVay's team had their bye in Week 10, but they have wasted no time in finding some of their best form.

In recent weeks, they have beaten the Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns and Washington Commanders, while their only defeat came against the Baltimore Ravens in overtime. The Rams are starting to get healthy at the right time and, as well as running back Kyren Williams, they have Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua for Matt Stafford to target.

The Saints have improved, but six of their seven wins have come against teams with losing records.

LA Rams to win with a -4.5 handicap at 20/21

Over 45.5 points @ 10/11

The Saints have started to click on offense in recent weeks, turning their yards into touchdowns consistently for the first time this season. Quarterback Derek Carr has had his injury problems to deal with, but he has thrown for over 210 yards in three of his team's last four games.

New Orleans have scored 24 points or more in three straight games and this should be an entertaining battle. Both teams still have their play-off dreams very much alive and we expect both teams to push for the win until the very end.

Over 45.5 points at 10/11
