Week 8 of the NFL season is in the books, and Week 9 brings us to the half-way point of the regular season!

Neil had himself a week to remember, smashing an impressive 12-4 S/U record, with Adam and Alan both on 10-6 and Jonny lagging behind with 9-7.

In terms of picking against the spread, it was Neil again with the best record of 9-7, Adam was 8-8, Alan 7-9 and poor old Jonny just 6-10.

On to our Week 9 NFL Predictions and Picks though and you can find out who we're backing below.

Friday - 00:15

Texans (+1.5) @ Jets

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Jets
  • Alan: Texans
  • Jonny: Jets
  • Neil: Texans

Moneyline: Jets 10/13, Texans 11/10

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Jets
  • Alan: Texans
  • Jonny: Jets
  • Neil: Texans

Comments: What must be going through 2x MVP Aaron Rodgers head and more importantly the Jets team who recruited him, following a torrid start to the season? They have lost five straight and couldn't even get over the line versus the Patriots last week.

Now they face a 6-2 Texans team that are full of confidence and have Joe Mixon in superb form to back up the likes of Tank Dell and Stefon Diggs on the offensive front.

I'm staggered that the New York are big favs here. - Adam

Sunday - 18:00

Cowboys (+2.5) @ Falcons

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Falcons
  • Alan: Falcons
  • Jonny: Falcons
  • Neil: Falcons

Moneyline: Falcons 4/6, Cowboys 5/4

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Falcons
  • Alan: Falcons
  • Jonny: Falcons
  • Neil: Falcons

Comments: While we're on underachieving and overpaid quarterbacks, how about the deal that Dak Prescott managed to pull off in the close season, with the $240m contract the biggest in NFL history. Since then he has led the Cowboys to a 3-4 record, throwing just 10 TD's alongside eight interceptions.

Dallas were better against the 49ers but their run game still sucks and so much rests on receiver CeeDee Lamb to get the offense moving. I'm gonna take the 5-3 Falcons and veteran QB Kirk Cousins to inflict some more pain on 'America's Team'. - Adam

Broncos (+8.5) @ Ravens

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Broncos
  • Alan: Ravens
  • Jonny: Broncos
  • Neil: Ravens

Moneyline: Ravens 2/9, Broncos 17/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Ravens
  • Alan: Ravens
  • Jonny: Ravens
  • Neil: Ravens

Comments: Only the Gods know how the Ravens managed to trip up at a resurgent Cleveland last week, with even the great Lamar Jackson unable to prevent the shock reverse. The Broncos handled Carolina well enough at home but might find Sunday's assignment at M&T Bank Stadium a slightly different kettle of fish - Alan

Dolphins (+6.5) @ Bills

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Bills
  • Alan: Bills
  • Jonny: Bills
  • Neil: Bills

Moneyline: Bills 4/11, Dolphins 11/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Bills
  • Alan: Bills
  • Jonny: Bills
  • Neil: Bills

Comments: Tua Tagovailoa's return gave the Dolphins offence a boost last week, but it wasn’t enough to see off the Cardinals at home.

The Bills, on the other hand, quietly keep racking up the wins, and they dominated the Seahawks last time out. In addition, they’ve won the last five meetings with Miami, with the last three all by seven or more points. - Jonny

Saints (-7.5) @ Panthers

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Panthers
  • Alan: Panthers
  • Jonny: Saints
  • Neil: Panthers

Moneyline: Panthers 13/5, Saints 3/10

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Saints
  • Alan: Panthers
  • Jonny: Saints
  • Neil: Saints

Comments: Two outfits 'enjoying' nightmare seasons, both are on long losing streaks, and struggle at the foot of the NFC South. Not so much bragging rights up for grabs then, but divisional wooden spoon material.

I'm hoping that home field will inspire the Panthers but it's definitely to small stakes for me. Sad to see these big dogs struggling, in the main, to get of their own way - Alan

Raiders (+8.5) @ Bengals

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Raiders
  • Alan: Bengals
  • Jonny: Raiders
  • Neil: Bengals

Moneyline: Bengals 1/4, Raiders 3/1

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Bengals
  • Alan: Bengals
  • Jonny: Bengals
  • Neil: Bengals

Comments: Two bang average teams face off in Cincy, with the 3-5 Bengals hosting the 2-6 Raiders.

Cincinnati are a big favourite here but they were battered by the Eagles and the Raiders looked much better with Jacobi Meyers back at WR against the Chiefs.

I'm taking the Bengals to win but the Raiders to cover. - Adam

Chargers (-1.5) @ Browns

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Chargers
  • Alan: Browns
  • Jonny: Chargers
  • Neil: Browns

Moneyline: Browns 21/20, Chargers 4/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Chargers
  • Alan: Browns
  • Jonny: Chargers
  • Neil: Browns

Comments: Well - if this isn't the time to dive in on the Browns, when will it be? They're at home again, after lowering Baltimore's colours a matter of days go. No way I can suggest anything other than another win at Huntingdon Bank Field.

They'll need to produce another performance way in advance of those that preceded the Ravens shock, but why not? Perhaps they've finally found the key ... Alan

Commanders (-3.5) @ Giants

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Commanders
  • Alan: Commanders
  • Jonny: Commanders
  • Neil: Commanders

Moneyline: Giants 6/4, Commanders 8/15

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Commanders
  • Alan: Commanders
  • Jonny: Commanders
  • Neil: Commanders

Comments: The Giants are having a difficult season and remain winless at home so far.

They come into this one off the back of a loss to the Steelers, while the Commanders are in the hunt for the NFC East title and coming off Jayden Daniels’ “Hail Mary” play in Week 8 – what a highlight that was.

It’s tough to back the Giants here. - Jonny

Patriots (+3.5) @ Titans

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Patriots
  • Alan: Titans
  • Jonny: Titans
  • Neil: Titans

Moneyline: Titans 4/7, Patriots 7/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Patriots
  • Alan: Titans
  • Jonny: Titans
  • Neil: Titans

Comments: I originally picked the Patriots here but after I read that Drake Maye looks unlikely to play following the head injury suffered on Sunday, I've done a 180.

Tennessee got given an old-fashioned whooping at the hands of a very good Detroit Lions team a week ago. That should be enough to not pick them but I really think New England look a completely different team with Maye under Center. This is one of those games you won't go out of your way to watch but give me the home team is a low-scoring game - Neil

Sunday - 21:05

Bears (+1.5) @ Cardinals

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Cardinals
  • Alan: Cardinals
  • Jonny: Bears
  • Neil: Cardinals

Moneyline: Cardinals 10/11, Bears 10/11

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Cardinals
  • Alan: Cardinals
  • Jonny: Bears
  • Neil: Cardinals

Comments: I have been on the Arizona's hype train all-season long and had them winning road upsets straight-up in San Francisco and Miami. Kyler Murray might not be as good as we saw in his rookie season but he has shown enough to think that he's an above-average QB in the league. He has weapons on the outside and a good enough Running Back in James Connor.

Chicago are coming off a brutal Hail Mary defeat at the hands of the Washington Commanders a week ago and I reckon that hangover lingers somewhat - Neil

Jaguars (+7.5) @ Eagles

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Eagles
  • Alan: Eagles
  • Jonny: Eagles
  • Neil: Eagles

Moneyline: Eagles 2/7, Jaguars 11/4

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Eagles
  • Alan: Eagles
  • Jonny: Eagles
  • Neil: Eagles

Comments: Full house here. Jacksonville have been extremely disappointing and the Eagles are just starting to look like a contender in the NFC. That win over Cincinnati reminded everyone that this team should not be forgotten. I like Philly to roll - Neil

Sunday - 21:25

Lions (-3.5) @ Packers

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Lions
  • Alan: Lions
  • Jonny: Lions
  • Neil: Lions

Moneyline: Packers 7/5, Lions 4/7

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Lions
  • Alan: Lions
  • Jonny: Lions
  • Neil: Lions

Comments: Jordan Love is questionable to play (at the time of writing) as he’s battling a groin injury, and of course, if he doesn’t that’ll hinder the Green Bay offence significantly.

The Packers need to force turnovers on Jared Goff, who hasn't thrown an interception in his past four games. In addition, the Lions are 3-0 on the road this season.

I’m taking Detroit to win at Lambeau Field for a third year in a row. - Jonny

Rams (-1.5) @ Seahawks

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Rams
  • Alan: Rams
  • Jonny: Rams
  • Neil: Seahawks

Moneyline: Seahawks 20/21, Rams 20/23

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Rams
  • Alan: Rams
  • Jonny: Rams
  • Neil: Seahawks

Comments: The Rams have won their last two against the Raiders and Vikings, and have extra rest coming into this one, which could be vital.

Seattle, on the other hand, were just blown out by the Bills on Sunday, 31-10. The Seahawks have now lost four of their last five games after starting the season 3-0, so I’m siding with the momentum here – the Rams. - Jonny

Monday - 01:20

Colts (-6.5) @ Vikings

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Vikings
  • Alan: Colts
  • Jonny: Vikings
  • Neil: Colts

Moneyline: Vikings 4/11, Colts 11/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Vikings
  • Alan: Colts
  • Jonny: Vikings
  • Neil: Vikings

Comments: Indy are turning back to Joe Flacco and that makes me happy as a Josh Downs fantasy owner. They are the second team this season to go away from a high first-round draft pick under Center for a veteran presence. I saw a lot of Anthony Richardson in college and I just didn't see that he had the accuracy to ever make it as a big time prospect.

Flacco gives them a much better chance to be competitive but I struggle to see them winning in Minnesota straight-up. I am however more than happy to take the 6.5pts that the spread is offering - Neil

Tuesday - 01:15

Buccaneers (+8.5) @ Chiefs

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Buccaneers
  • Alan: Chiefs
  • Jonny: Chiefs
  • Neil: Chiefs

Moneyline: Chiefs 2/9, Buccaneers 17/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Chiefs
  • Alan: Chiefs
  • Jonny: Chiefs
  • Neil: Chiefs

Comments: The Chiefs continue to grind out wins despite a torrid injury list and the acquisition of DeAndre Hopkins last week looks a shrewd one. They also picked up edge rusher Joshua Uche from the Pats over the last few days and continue to do smart trade deals for low-value draft picks.

The 8.5 point spread looks good on paper but Kansas City continue to win by a single score and I can see that happening again here against a Bucs team with plenty of firepower of their own. - Adam

Season Records:

Against the Spread:

  • Adam – 58-49
  • Alan – 53-54
  • Jonny – 54-53
  • Neil – 59-48

Straight Up:

  • Adam – 66-41
  • Alan – 58-49
  • Jonny – 65-42
  • Neil – 57-50
