Picks ATS:
- Adam: Broncos
- Alan: Saints
- Jonny: Broncos
- Neil: Broncos
Moneyline: Saints 23/20, Broncos 8/11
Picks Straight Up:
- Adam: Broncos
- Alan: Saints
- Jonny: Broncos
- Neil: Broncos
Comments: The Saints are looking to snap a four-game losing streak here, after starting the season so well. Denver, meanwhile, are 3-3 but come into this contest off the back of a 23-16 defeat against the Chargers.
It looks as though this game will see rookie QB's Bo Nix and Spencer Rattler go head-to-head, but it's the former who's made a fast start to life in the NFL. Nix has completed 121 of 198 passes (61.1 per cent) for 1,082 yards and five touchdowns.
The Saints traditionally struggle on Thursday nights, having lost five-straight Thursday Night Football games at home, so I'm taking the Broncos here. - Jonny
Sunday - 14:30
Picks ATS:
- Adam: Patriots
- Alan: Patriots
- Jonny: Patriots
- Neil: Jaguars
Moneyline: Jaguars 2/5, Patriots 2/1
Picks Straight Up:
- Adam: Patriots
- Alan: Patriots
- Jonny: Patriots
- Neil: Jaguars
Comments: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me for six weeks through the NFL season then just call me an idiot. Yet here I am, days after watching Jacksonville look absolutely turgid against the Bears. Lifeless on offense, listless and undisciplined on defense taking the Jags to pull off the upset. They just cannot be as bad as what we saw on Sunday and I'm not exactly sold on Drake Maye yet.
I'm the second of the four to make my picks this week and I'd be stunned if any of the other three back Trevor Lawrence & Co. Logically you can't back them in good conscience but sometimes you just have to go against the grain - Neil
Sunday - 18:00
Picks ATS:
- Adam: Falcons
- Alan: Falcons
- Jonny: Falcons
- Neil: Falcons
Moneyline: Falcons 8/13, Seahawks 13/10
Picks Straight Up:
- Adam: Falcons
- Alan: Falcons
- Jonny: Falcons
- Neil: Falcons
Comments: Atlanta are enjoying themselves, Kirk Cousins is rocking, and the NFC South looks a lot rosier from near the top. Seattle are on a losing run of three. Go figure - Alan.
Picks ATS:
- Adam: Titans
- Alan: Bills
- Jonny: Titans
- Neil: Bills
Moneyline: Bills 2/9, Titans 17/5
Picks Straight Up:
- Adam: Bills
- Alan: Bills
- Jonny: Bills
- Neil: Bills
Comments: Let's see if we can get another good week in the books, starting with the 4-2 Bills hosting the 1-4 Titans. Should be a blow-out win for Buffalo, surely?
Well, Tennessee haven't been that bad, only losing one game so far by this big a spread and Josh Allen & Co. have been stuttering to say the least on attack, so I think this one could stay pretty close.
The short rest week for Buffalo could also be a pretty big factor too. - Adam
Picks ATS:
- Adam: Browns
- Alan: Browns
- Jonny: Bengals
- Neil: Browns
Moneyline: Browns 23/10, Bengals 1/3
Picks Straight Up:
- Adam: Bengals
- Alan: Bengals
- Jonny: Bengals
- Neil: Bengals
Comments: The 'Battle of Ohio' looks like another mismatch, but let's not forget, the 1-5 Browns and the 2-4 Bengals have both struggled badly at the start of the season.
Yes - Cincinnati host all the aces with Burrow and Chase but this means a lot to Cleveland and they have won the last six straight home games against the Bengals and are 8 of 9 ATS against AFC North opponents.
I'm going for Deshaun Watson and the Browns defense to keep this one close enough for them to cover the spread. - Adam
Picks ATS:
- Adam: Texans
- Alan: Packers
- Jonny: Packers
- Neil: Packers
Moneyline: Packers 4/6, Texans 5/4
Picks Straight Up:
- Adam: Texans
- Alan: Packers
- Jonny: Packers
- Neil: Packers
Comments: My boss here at Betfred is a Packers fan and in our work fantasy league, I took Jordan Love to be my backup QB much to his chagrin. Green Bay's QB has been lighting it up since returning from that early-season injury and we've seen his receivers stepping it up. I like them to cover and win at home - Neil
Picks ATS:
- Adam: Dolphins
- Alan: Colts
- Jonny: Colts
- Neil: Colts
Moneyline: Colts 4/7, Dolphins 7/5
Picks Straight Up:
- Adam: Colts
- Alan: Colts
- Jonny: Colts
- Neil: Colts
Comments: This one is quite simple, until Tua comes back, I just don't think Miami have a QB that can win any game against a team that are at least league-average. No point overthinking this one. Colts at home win and cover. - Neil
Picks ATS:
- Adam: Lions
- Alan: Lions
- Jonny: Lions
- Neil: Vikings
Moneyline: Vikings 8/11, Lions 23/20
Picks Straight Up:
- Adam: Lions
- Alan: Lions
- Jonny: Lions
- Neil: Vikings
Comments: This could be the game of the week, for me.
Minnesota are 5-0 to start the season and sit top of the NFC North, followed closely by Sunday's opponents, who are 4-1.
The Vikings are coming off a bye week so will be raring to go here, while the Lions thrashed the Cowboys 47-9 last time out, so confidence will be high in their camp.
It seems the winner of this game will get a leg up in the divisional race and I can honestly see it going both ways - the Lions have the best offence in the NFC while the Vikings are the best-in-class defensively.
I think the deciding factor could be Jared Goff's performance, who has been excellent so far this season. - Jonny
Picks ATS:
- Adam: Eagles
- Alan: Eagles
- Jonny: Eagles
- Neil: Eagles
Moneyline: Giants 13/10, Eagles 8/13
Picks Straight Up:
- Adam: Eagles
- Alan: Eagles
- Jonny: Eagles
- Neil: Eagles
Comments: Philly (3-2) have been hit and miss this season but should still have too much for the hapless 1-5 Giants, even in front of a raucous MetLife.
A J Brown is back for the Eagles and will give Jalen Hurts a reliable out and should ease the burden on the defense. Saquon Barkley will feel like he has a point to prove as he returns back to New York and I expect him to run all over the Giants rush defense. - Adam
Sunday - 21:05
Picks ATS:
- Adam: Rams
- Alan: Rams
- Jonny: Rams
- Neil: Rams
Moneyline: Rams 3/10, Raiders 13/5
Picks Straight Up:
- Adam: Rams
- Alan: Rams
- Jonny: Rams
- Neil: Rams
Comments: Two struggling outfits in relative terms, and there might not be too much in this, so the +6.5 is a tempter. But that's perhaps a bit of a trap, and though both prop up their respective divisions I'm hoping the Rams can eventually remember that they're the Rams, if you get my drift - Alan
Picks ATS:
- Adam: Commanders
- Alan: Commanders
- Jonny: Commanders
- Neil: Commanders
Moneyline: Commanders 1/4, Panthers 3/1
Picks Straight Up:
- Adam: Commanders
- Alan: Commanders
- Jonny: Commanders
- Neil: Commanders
Comments: Washington are undoubtedly the most improved team in the league and with new ownership and a QB who looks the part, they have taken huge strides forwards. The Commanders gave a very good Baltimore side a great game last week and even though they lost, it showed that they finally belong in the upper-tier of the NFL.
Jayden Daniels looks great and I like them to roll again on Sunday and beat a Panthers side who look better with Andy Dalton but still don't look anywhere near good enough to compete with the better teams around the league - Neil
Sunday - 21:25
Picks ATS:
- Adam: Chiefs
- Alan: Chiefs
- Jonny: Chiefs
- Neil: 49ers
Moneyline: 49ers 5/6, Chiefs 1/1
Picks Straight Up:
- Adam: Chiefs
- Alan: Chiefs
- Jonny: Chiefs
- Neil: 49ers
Comments: A rematch of last year's Super Bowl, and who knows - possibly a preview of this year's?
The Chiefs head to San Francisco, fresh off a bye week, to face a 49ers team with more holes in it than usual. Kansas City are still undefeated and haven't tasted defeat since last December.
The Niners are just about keeping their head above water, getting back to .500 with a win over the Seahawks last week (3-3). There remains plenty of offensive firepower on display, but this team haven't looked themselves, with the exception of the Week 1 blowout of the Jets.
It's not very often Patrick Mahomes is the underdog, and even when he is, it feels foolish to bet against him - he's set season-highs in passing yards and Total QBR. In addition, Kansas City's defence has been excellent all season, so I'm taking the Chiefs. - Jonny
Monday - 01:20
Picks ATS:
- Adam: Steelers
- Alan: Steelers
- Jonny: Jets
- Neil: Steelers
Moneyline: Jets 4/5, Steelers 21/20
Picks Straight Up:
- Adam: Steelers
- Alan: Steelers
- Jonny: Jets
- Neil: Steelers
Comments: The Steelers have a clear edge in my book, home field, and yet by a gnat's wotsit are second favourites. The older I get the less I understand ...
The Jets have had their personnel issues, have lost three on the spin, while the Steelers are keeping pace with the Ravens in the AFC North. I can feel another 'go figure' coming on - Alan
Tuesday - 01:15
Picks ATS:
- Adam: Buccaneers
- Alan: Ravens
- Jonny: Ravens
- Neil: Buccaneers
Moneyline: Buccaneers 13/8, Ravens 1/2
Picks Straight Up:
- Adam: Ravens
- Alan: Ravens
- Jonny: Ravens
- Neil: Buccaneers
Comments: This looks like a cracking game on Monday Night Football, as two hot teams with identical 4-2 records do battle.
Tampa Bay were superb against a dreadful New Orleans side last week but they come up against one of the best attacks in the National Football League here, with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry running all over rush defenses.
Baker Mayfield is loving having the likes of Chris Godwin and Mike Evans at his disposal though and I think he will keep this one tight enough to win ATS. - Adam
Tuesday - 02:00
Picks ATS:
- Adam: Chargers
- Alan: Cardinals
- Jonny: Cardinals
- Neil: Cardinals
Moneyline: Cardinals 6/5, Chargers 20/29
Picks Straight Up:
- Adam: Chargers
- Alan: Cardinals
- Jonny: Cardinals
- Neil: Cardinals
Comments: The Chargers are finding points hard to come by, while the Cardinals are leaking too many of 'em. Bargain basement fare then, and difficult to be too dogmatic about the outcome.
The Cards are trickier to read than the small print on a microchip. Home field just sways me towards them, and flashes of Murray this term have been exhilarating. More of the same, please - Alan
Season Records:
Against the Spread:
- Adam – 50-41
- Alan – 46-45
- Jonny – 48-43
- Neil – 39-38
Straight Up:
- Adam –56-35
- Alan – 48-43
- Jonny – 56-35
- Neil – 45-46
