NFL Prop Bets: Our Sunday best is a 5/1 treble

It's Week 8 in the National Football League and once again it's my pleasure to point you in the direction of some wagers (let's go all Stateside) you might not be overly familiar with.

Proposition (prop) bets complement the main three markets (money line, spread, game total), offering loads of opportunities for a little tickle concerning the performances of individual players, certain things happening, various portions of the match producing xyz, etc, etc. There are stacks attached to every fixture - if you're unsure, have a peep. Falcons vs Dolphins - Falcons Under 27.5 @ 10/13

I've been a bit underwhelmed by Atlanta's offence this term. They've registered a modest 110 points so far but have a reasonable 3-3 record overall courtesy of having a far better-looking 'D.'

In theory Miami are just who you'd like to face right now to pop a few on the board and get the juices flowing a bit, but it's high time they were a lot more competitive and hard to break down without the football. You pays your money, you ...

Panthers vs Bills - Panthers over 18.5 @ 10/11

Carolina have been in the mix this season in most of their fixtures and arrive on a win streak of three. They entertain illustrious rivals in Buffalo, but let's not forget that Josh Allen and company have already lost two, and though that might change in Charlotte on Sunday the Panthers can still threaten.

Andy Dalton might be stepping up to cover for injured Bryce Young but the Panthers' running game is such that the likes of Rico Dowdle could hurt the Bills - enough to manage that points total in any event, fingers crossed.

Texans vs 49ers - Texans Under 21.5 @ 20/21

Texans' QB CJ Stroud looked in great fettle before rather floundering against Seattle last week, and I can see 21.5 points looking a fairly tall order if the NFC West's 5-2 niners are in the mood.

Houston are favourites to win this one but (famous last words moment - look away now) for me, San Francisco can take this and restrict their rivals, points-wise. It's a game of opinions and all that, eh. What's yours?
