NFL Prop Bets: It worked last week – this little acca pays over 5/1

Delighted to report that last week's NFL Prop bets 7/1 treble landed nicely, and we move on seamlessly and eagerly to Week 12 in the National Football League.

The Pats still occupy first place in the AFC East at 9-2 from the rather stuttering Bills, and while once upon a Brady/Belichick time that was as natural as night following day, it's certainly not been the case in more recent exchanges. In the same Conference the Colts and Broncos continue to fly high, while in the NFC the Eagles and the Rams are edging matters stats-wise; with the Bears a welcome headlining sight in an ultra-competitive North.

Last week we took a 'fun' punt - predicting what the outcome would be of the away team's first drive. Three of them. I'm returning to the scene of the crime this week ... hoping for the same outcome!

Ravens vs Jets - Punt @ 4/5

The 5-5 Ravens are getting back to something like, and the 2-8 Jets coming to M&T Bank are unlikely to get too much love. The visitors have issues at QB and the Ravens have King Henry and an improving D. Go figure.

Not hard to see New York's first drive coming to nought ...

Bears vs Steelers - Punt @ 1/1

Chicago's pre-eminence in the North is welcome for all fans of a certain age who recall William Perry et al. On Sunday it's two divisional leaders going head-to-head and  it should be a thriller.

The Bears D are takeaway kings and whether it's a banged-up Rodgers or substitute Rudolph under centre for the Steelers they won't find it easy. The game total is around 44.5 and I'd be firmly on the under.

Lions vs Giants - Punt @ 10/11

The visitors are a woeful 2-9 unfortunately and though Detroit aren't exactly purring they should have far too much for the Giants. In terms of the New York offense it's modest but not entirely toothless - but Detroit's D ranks fifth in opponents' yards allowed per game.

This isn't the most forensic market on planet earth and there's a glorious nod in the direction of Lady Luck - but it worked last week so let's give it another shot.

Remember - every match is choc-full of these 'prop' (proposition) bets, and if you string a few together there's a possibility of a cute return.
