The final game of the Sunday NFL schedule in Week 12 is a tasty-looking NFC clash between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams (01:20 GMT, Sky Sports Main Event/Sky Sports NFL) at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Read on for my Eagles vs Rams predictions, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Eagles vs Rams Betting Tips

  • Eagles -2.5 @ 5/6
  • Under 49.5 Total Points @ 20/23

Both teams went out in the wild-card round of last season's playoffs and are both in the hunt to play postseason games again. The Eagles are in better shape, leading the NFC East with an 8-2 record after six successive wins, but the Rams remain in contention in the wide-open NFC West, where they are one of three 5-5 teams chasing the 6-4 Arizona Cardinals.

The Rams will have home advantage at SoFi Stadium but the Eagles have an excellent record in the teams' recent clashes, winning seven of their last eight meetings including a 23-14 success when they visited the Rams last October.

Team News

The Eagles could be without wide receiver DeVonta Smith, who is struggling with a hamstring injury. Defensive end Bryce Huff has been ruled out after electing to have surgery on a wrist injury. Linebacker Nakobe Dean (groin) is expected to play.

NFL Odds

The Rams continue to have issues along their offensive line. There is a chance that offensive tackle Rob Havenstein could play after an ankle injury, and Joe Noteboom (ankle) could be available, but right guard Kevin Dotson (illness) is questionable.

The Eagles are favourites on the road at 4/6, giving them an implied win probability of 60%, with the Rams available at 5/4. The Eagles are asked to concede 2.5 points on the handicap with odds of 5/6, while the Rams can be backed at 1/1 getting a start of 2.5 points.

The total points line for the game has been set at 49.5, with over 49.5 on offer at 20/21 and under 49.5 priced at 20/23.

Eagles -2.5 @ 5/6

The Eagles' current six-game winning streak has largely been built against teams with losing records but they had few problems when stepping up in standard to beat divisional rivals the Washington Commanders 26-18 in their most recent outing.

That NFC East clash was the Thursday night game of Week 11, so the Eagles have had three extra days to rest and prepare for this game than the Rams, who were on the East coast last Sunday playing the New England Patriots.

The Rams have lost only one of their last five games, but that Week 10 defeat was against a Miami Dolphins team that is similar to the Eagles in featuring a varied offence, while the Philadelphia defence is much stronger than Miami's.

It wasn't smooth sailing for the Rams in their game against the 3-8 Patriots either, but they came through 28-22 for their second away win of the year.

Sean McVay's team have covered the handicap only twice in five home games, but the Eagles have rewarded their handicap backers in four of their five away fixtures.

Under 49.5 Total Points @ 20/23

This game has one of the higher total points lines of Week 12 and will be played in a controlled environment in the Rams' state-of-the-art stadium, but it could turn out to be lower-scoring than the expected total.

Nick Sirianni's Eagles are ranked first in the NFL in total defence, conceding an average of less than 275 yards per game. They are second in pass defence, so should fancy their chances of coping better with the Rams' elite wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua than most of the teams they face.

Both teams love to run the ball with Kyren Williams showing the way for the Rams and Saquon Barkley starring for the Eagles, and that should keep the clock moving and restrict scoring.

Only three Eagles games have reached the 50-point mark this season, while the Rams have not played in a game featuring more than 51 points, although they have had two at that number and two featuring exactly 50 points.
