Commanders vs Ravens Predictions: Ravens to bring Commanders back down to earth

The Washington Commanders have been a breath of fresh air in the NFC East this season but face a tough challenge on Sunday (18:00, Sky Sports NFL) when they head to M&T Bank Stadium to take on the Baltimore Ravens. 

Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels is one of the rising stars in the NFL and has guided Washington to an impressive 4-1 start to the campaign. 

Sitting top of the NFC East ahead of rivals the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles has not been a familiar position for Washington in recent years and now they must handle growing expectations. 

The 3-2 Ravens have overcome a shaky start to the season and now finding their rhythm under star quarterback Lamar Jackson, Baltimore look capable of stopping the Commanders right in their tracks.

Starting with the Ravens, Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu (personal), Rashod Bateman (groin), Broderick Washington (knee), Ronnie Stanley (toe) and Roger Rosengarten (ankle/hand) are all deemed as questionable going into Sunday's game. 

As for the Commanders, Clelin Ferrell (knee), Noah Brown (groin), Brian Robinson Jr. (knee), Quan Martin (neck) and Percy Butler (groin) are questionable for the trip to Baltimore.

Given their threat through the air on the ground, the Ravens look capable of not only winning on home soil against the Commanders but covering the handicap in the process.

As mentioned, the Ravens boast a strong ground game, with running back Derrick Henry enjoying an excellent start to the season. 

Henry has already earned 572 yards rushing over five games and has scored six touchdowns in that time. 

Jackson is the only other player to have scored a rushing touchdown for the Ravens this season, with the quarterback going over for a couple already. 

While the Commanders' defence will be preoccupied with trying to stop powerful runner Henry, Jackson is good value to add to his two rushing touchdowns for the season.
