It’s Week 9 of the NFL season and with the Baltimore Ravens making light work of the Miami Dolphins on Thursday, we’ve officially reached the back nine of the 2025 campaign.

As we look to build our anytime touchdown scorer accumulator, it’s worth considering that with 21 teams currently above, or within one win of a .500 record, there’s still plenty to play for and this week’s games are likely to prove pivotal for those teams building, or sustaining, momentum for the second half of the season and the pursuit of a playoff spot.

Four teams are on bye, leaving 13 games across Sunday and Monday to get our teeth into, as we hunt the best anytime touchdown scorer value. Whether you’re looking to bet singles, doubles, or chasing a slightly bigger return, these are the players that jump off the page as the most likely to run into the End Zone this week, based on the first eight weeks of data.

Jonathan Taylor - Indianapolis Colts (4/9)

Jonathan Taylor remains the cornerstone of any TD bet, this weekend. The Colts' star Running Back is the clear frontrunner in the Offensive Player of the Year conversation, with 14 touchdowns already in 2025 and averaging five Red Zone touches per game.

The matchup at Pittsburgh isn’t ideal but Indy’s offense is so balanced that if they reach their implied team total of 27.5 points, it’s hard to imagine Taylor not accounting for at least six points. The short price reflects his red-hot form but sometimes the obvious play is the right one and this isn’t the time to overthink Taylor’s, or the Colts' form this season.

Josh Jacobs - Green Bay Packers (4/6)

Few spots scream “Running Back production” louder than Lambeau Field on Sunday. Green Bay are 13.5 point favourites against Carolina with an implied total of 28.5 points and the opportunity for Josh Jacobs sits him front and centre of the Packers offense.

The former Raiders RB has nine TDs this season, whilst averaging just under six red zone carries per game and he looks primed to crack double digits here. In a matchup forecast to be this one-sided, Jacobs feels like an obvious inclusion.

Javonte Williams - Dallas Cowboys (4/6)

Dallas heads to Arizona on Monday night in the highest projected total of the week (53.5 points) and Javonte Williams has quietly become one of the league’s more reliable scoring threats.

In his first season with the Cowboys, the former Bronco has nine touchdowns, averaging 4.5 red zone touches per game and fits perfectly in an offense that keeps finding ways into the end zone. In what projects as a shootout, Williams feels well positioned to make it 10 TDs for the year.

The treble pays just over 3/1 but for anybody looking to boost their returns, or just play the single - they could do worse than add Patrick Mahomes to score anytime at 4/1!

Patrick Mahomes - Kansas City Chiefs (4/1)

For those looking to boost the treble, Patrick Mahomes at 4/1 makes for an intriguing addition. The Chiefs QB is putting together another MVP calibre season and has already rushed for four TDs from 10 Red Zone rushing attempts on the year. With Isiah Pacheco expected to miss the trip to Buffalo and the Bills having surrendered the second most rushing TDs (nine) in the league so far this season, Mahomes could easily see an increase in his role on the ground in what is arguably the game of the week.

Taylor, Jacobs and Williams combine for a 3/1 treble but adding Mahomes boosts it to a 19/1 acca. Whether you’re playing it safe or swinging for the fences, this feels like a week where the league’s touchdown leaders can keep their teams scoreboards and (hopefully) your Betfred balance ticking over.
