Anytime Touchdown Scorer Predictions: Two picks for Championship Weekend

Kyren Williams spared my blushes last week, as his touchdown against the Chicago Bears was the only pick from four to land in the Divisional Round matches.

Super Bowl LX is rapidly approaching, and we've made it to the Championship Weekend. Check out who I'm backing this week in my anytime touchdown predictions as I select a pick from both matches.

Anytime Touchdown Scorer Betting Tips

  • Stefon Diggs - New England Patriots (@ Denver Broncos) @ 11/5
  • Cooper Kupp - Seattle Seahawks (vs Los Angeles Rams) @ 11/4

Double pays @ 11/1

After an enthralling Divisional Round, just four teams remain in pursuit of that coveted Lombardi Trophy, and there's just one hurdle to overcome to reach Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, California.

The AFC Championship game sees the Denver Broncos take on the New England Patriots, in what should be an intriguing match-up. The Patriots won 16 games during the regular season after just eight wins combined over the previous two years, but if Drake Maye can take New England to the Super Bowl - post-Brady and Belichick - has he revived the Pats dynasty?

The Broncos will be a tricky customer, particularly with home-field advantage,  but they'll have to compete here with a back-up quarterback, after Bo Nix broke his ankle in the Divisional Round win over the Buffalo Bills.

The NFC Championship game sees the Seattle Seahawks face their NFC West rivals the Los Angeles Rams in what should be an absolute cracker. The two were so evenly matched in their two meetings this season, with both teams claiming a win each. The Rams won by two and the Seahawks by one, so it was 58-57 in total points scored and a crazy 830-829 in total yards in favour of LA.

So, let's get stuck into who I'm picking from each game to score a touchdown anytime.

Stefon Diggs - New England Patriots (@ Denver Broncos) @ 11/5

The Patriots wide receiver reached the end zone for the first time since Week 17 in New England's win over the Houston Texans, pulling in a team-high four of six targets for 40 yards in the process.

Diggs appears to be the go-to man for Drake Maye - he led the team in receiving yards during the regular season and he became the Patriot's first 1,000-yard receiver in six years in the process.

The 11-year veteran has yet to reach the Super Bowl during his time with the Texans, the Bills and Vikings, so he's certainly coming to play on Sunday.

Cooper Kupp - Seattle Seahawks (vs Los Angeles Rams) @ 11/4

I must admit, I think there's potentially an all-time classic waiting for us to enjoy on Sunday between the Seahawks and Rams (famous last words) and Cooper Kupp plays a significant part of the story.

Kupp is facing his former side here - one who he won a Super Bowl with in 2021 - and he'll be desperate for revenge after the Rams released him during the offseason, after failing to find a trade partner for him.

Admittedly, the Seahawks wide receiver scored just twice during the regular season, but he led the team with five targets and catches last week against the San Francisco 49ers. He doesn't exactly jump off the page in terms of anytime touchdown scorers for this game, but I think it's foolish to overlook the former Ram.
