Alan finished top of our mini leaderboard, going 11-5 ATS, with Neil following behind going 8-8, Adam going 7-9, while Jonny had another week to forget at 4-12.

In terms of picking straight up, Alan was the best in class once again, along with Neil, with finishing 9-7, with Jonny landing a more respectable score of 8-8, and Adam following closely at 7-9.

 Friday - 01:15

Buccaneers (+1.5) @ Falcons

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Buccaneers
  • Alan: Buccaneers
  • Jonny: Buccaneers
  • Neil: Falcons

Moneyline: Falcons 4/5, Buccaneers 21/20

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Buccaneers
  • Alan: Buccaneers
  • Jonny: Buccaneers
  • Neil: Falcons

Comments: What a lovely way to start the NFL week, and it was a relief to post some slightly more encouraging numbers personally last time out. This is virtually a pick 'em for me, and if the action was coming from Raymond James instead of the Mercedes-Benz I'd be very confident that the Bucs could continue on their upward trajectory.

But you know what? I reckon they can anyway. They tanned the Eagles the other day, restricting Hurts to 158 yds in the air and 20 on the ground along the way. Baker Mayfield meanwhile is having himself a time all right under centre, and the receiving corps are loving it.

No disrespect whatsoever to Atlanta, but the layers have got the wrong money line fav for me - Alan

Sunday - 14:30

Jets (+2.5) @ Vikings

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Vikings
  • Alan: Vikings
  • Jonny: Vikings
  • Neil: Vikings

Moneyline: Vikings 7/10, Jets 6/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Vikings
  • Alan: Vikings
  • Jonny: Vikings
  • Neil: Vikings

Comments: The unbeaten, 100% Vikings 'entertain' the Jets in London, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The renaissance of Sam Darnold at QB continues apace as he looks to add his former team the Jets to his list of recently-vanquished foes, and in current mood who could doubt that's clearly the most likely outcome.

Future Hall of Fame QB Aaron Rodgers cut a frustrated figure at times in the narrow Jets loss to the Broncos, and seemed to be at odds with coach Robert Saleh over the number of false starts. Quite apart from the snap count controversy Rodgers was banged up too, but hopes to make the game ok.

What a treat for UK fans to get a glimpse of one of the all-times greats in his position. New York can keep it respectable but I can see a low-scoring Vikings win - Alan

Sunday - 18:00

Panthers (+3.5) @ Bears

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Bears
  • Alan: Bears
  • Jonny: Bears
  • Neil: Bears

Moneyline: Bears 1/2, Panthers 13/8

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Bears
  • Alan: Bears
  • Jonny: Bears
  • Neil: Bears

Comments: I'm expecting this to be a closely-fought contest, as reflected by the spread.

Carolina have struggled to generate any pressure on the opposing QB, so if Caleb Williams gets time, he should make plays. In addition, the Bears' defence is aggressive and the Panthers may struggle to keep the ball here.

Give me Chicago on the spread and straight up. - Jonny

Ravens (-2.5) @ Bengals

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Ravens
  • Alan: Ravens
  • Jonny: Ravens
  • Neil: Ravens

Moneyline: Bengals 6/5, Ravens 7/10

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Ravens
  • Alan: Ravens
  • Jonny: Ravens
  • Neil: Ravens

Comments: A mouth-watering clash at Paycor/Paul Brown, with Bengals QB Joe Burrow in bullish mood ahead of what's going to be a severe test against the rampant Ravens. Two narrow reverses for Lamar Jackson and company first up, but the last two weeks have been stellar, putting away first the Cowboys then the Bills in fine style.

More Baltimore success beckons then for me in Cincy, despite Joe Brrrr's apparent confidence, and I'm hoping for a points-filled cracker - Alan

Bills (-1.5) @ Texans

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Texans
  • Alan: Texans
  • Jonny: Bills
  • Neil: Bills

Moneyline: Texans 1/1, Bills 5/6

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Texans
  • Alan: Texans
  • Jonny: Bills
  • Neil: Bills

Comments: I really fancied the Bills to make some noise against Baltimore last week but they were soundly beaten. Meanwhile, the Texans have cooled a bit after a red-hot start.

To be honest, I could see this one going either way, however, Houston's running game is nowhere near as strong as the Ravens', and stopping the run is where Buffalo are weakest on defence. So, I'm taking the Bills to bounce back here. - Jonny

Colts (+2.5) @ Jaguars

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Colts
  • Alan: Jaguars
  • Jonny: Colts
  • Neil: Jaguars

Moneyline: Jaguars 8/13, Colts 13/10

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Colts
  • Alan: Jaguars
  • Jonny: Colts
  • Neil: Jaguars

Comments: The 0-4 Jaguars have got to win sometime, surely? They aren't even that bad as if you take one the shellacking they took at the hands of the Buffalo Bills, they've been in every game and lost by less than a score. At some point their fortunes have to change and a home game against a relatively weak division foe feels like the right spot for it - Neil

Dolphins (+1.5) @ Patriots

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Dolphins
  • Alan: Patriots
  • Jonny: Dolphins
  • Neil: Patriots

Moneyline: Patriots 20/23, Dolphins 20/21

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Dolphins
  • Alan: Patriots
  • Jonny: Dolphins
  • Neil: Patriots

Comments: Until the Dolphins find at least a semi-competent Quarterback whilst Tua Tagovailoa recovers from yet another concussion, I'm going against them every single week. It really is as simple as that in my book - Neil

Browns (+3.5) @ Commanders

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Commanders
  • Alan: Commanders
  • Jonny: Commanders
  • Neil: Commanders

Moneyline: Commanders 4/7, Browns 7/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Commanders
  • Alan: Commanders
  • Jonny: Commanders
  • Neil: Commanders

Comments: Jayden Daniels is the odds on favourite to be Offensive Rookie of the Year and is closing fast in the overall MVP picture.

This is just reward for the 2023 Heisman Trophy LSU alum, who has calmly led his Washington side to a 3-1 start, including a 42-14 whooping of the Cardinals last week, to pick up their third straight win.

The stat that stands out the most, is Daniels' completion percentage at a quite frightening 82.1% - This man simply doesn't throw the ball away and isn't scared of using his legs to get him out of trouble when the pass is simply too risky, rushing for 218 yards in his four games.

Meanwhile, Deshaun Watson and the Browns look trash, failing to score 20+ points for the fourth consecutive week and falling to a 1-3 start. The Nick Chubb-less run offense is toothless and that much vaunted defense is off the ball this season too.

Put this one down for another heavy Commanders win - Adam

Sunday - 21:05

Raiders (+2.5) @ Broncos

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Broncos
  • Alan: Raiders
  • Jonny: Broncos
  • Neil: Broncos

Moneyline: Broncos 4/6, Raiders 5/4

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Broncos
  • Alan: Raiders
  • Jonny: Broncos
  • Neil: Broncos

Comments: The Raiders were hit with the news this week that Davante Adams wants to be traded - will that be a distraction?

The Broncos are an elite defensive unit, and come into this clash having won two in a row - including a shock win against Aaron Rodgers and the Jets last week.

No offense? No problem for Denver. I think they'll take advantage of a disgruntled Raiders side, with their defence paving the way f0r a third-straight triumph. - Jonny

Cardinals (+7.5) @ 49ers

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Cardinals
  • Alan: Cardinals
  • Jonny: Cardinals
  • Neil: Cardinals

Moneyline: 49ers 2/7, Cardinals 14/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: 49ers
  • Alan: 49ers
  • Jonny: 49ers
  • Neil: Cardinals

Comments: One of these days I will learn my lesson. I have sat here on the Arizona Cardinals' bandwagon for a couple of weeks now following their 41-10 beatdown of the Rams thinking that they might be good.

A tough 20-13 home loss against the Lions wasn't atrocious but 42-14 to the Commanders? That was not pretty. Yet I'm picking them to win in the upset because I still think they have good players and every week there is a big upset. This is a gut-feel play. All logic says roll with the home favourites but I'm taking the big road dog - Neil

Sunday - 21:25

Packers (-2.5) @ Rams

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Packers
  • Alan: Rams
  • Jonny: Packers
  • Neil: Packers

Moneyline: Rams 13/10, Packers 8/13

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Packers
  • Alan: Rams
  • Jonny: Packers
  • Neil: Packers

Comments: Rams QB Matthew Stafford has for me not quite hit the kind of heights he's known for so far this term, and I'm hoping that can all change at SoFi on Sunday. He's still missing ace target Cooper Kupp through injury, and they don't in all fairness have a great record against the visitors from Wisconsin.

LA has a dire 1-and-3 start to improve upon however and there's no time like the present, and all that jazz. They both prop up their respective NFC divisions but it's still very early days, and both will harbour thoughts of the win - Alan

Giants (+6.5) @ Seahawks

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Seahawks
  • Alan: Giants
  • Jonny: Giants
  • Neil: Seahawks

Moneyline: Seahawks 4/11, Giants 9/4

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Seahawks
  • Alan: Seahawks
  • Jonny: Seahawks
  • Neil: Seahawks

Comments: The Lions put on an offensive clinic last week to end Seattle's unbeaten start, while the Giants lost to the Cowboys (again).

New York have been competitive in their games however, with the exception of their season opener, but I just don't trust their offence to keep pace here. Seattle have the firepower to get back in the win column, especially if the Giants are without star rookie Mailk Nabers, who was concussed in the defeat to Dallas last week. - Jonny

Monday - 01:20

Cowboys (+2.5) @ Steelers

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Steelers
  • Alan: Steelers
  • Jonny: Cowboys
  • Neil: Steelers

Moneyline: Steelers 8/11, Cowboys 23/20

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Steelers
  • Alan: Steelers
  • Jonny: Cowboys
  • Neil: Steelers

Comments: The Steelers were brought back down to planet Earth last week by a certain Joseph Flacco, as their perfect record ended in Indianapolis.

Nevertheless, Pittsburgh boss Mike Tomlin will be delighted by the 3-1 start from his side and will now look to show that they belong with the big bows by taking out an NFL goliath in the Cowboys.

Dallas have limped to a 2-2 record courtesy of a close-run win over the Giants in last week's Thursday Night Football and need to start picking up results on a consistent basis.

The Steelers will go run-heavy here including the QB Justin Fields and that should be enough to get them past the spluttering Cowboys offense. - Adam

Tuesday - 01:15

Saints (+5.5) @ Chiefs

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Saints
  • Alan: Saints
  • Jonny: Chiefs
  • Neil: Saints

Moneyline: Chiefs 2/5, Saints 2/1

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Chiefs
  • Alan: Chiefs
  • Jonny: Chiefs
  • Neil: Saints

Comments: The Chiefs look banged-up and stunted on offense and yet are somehow one of only two teams with a perfect 4-0 record. Their MVP right now is defensive co-ordinator Steve Spagnuolo, whose D-Line are pretty much single-handedly winning Kansas City close games.

Head Coach Andy Reid's woes grew on Sunday night, with Rashee Rice the latest star starter to be added to a long injury roster, following an innocuous looking clash with Patrick Mahomes. Travis Kelce finally stepped up to the plate, after hisn early season struggles and was helped on the way by the rapid rookie receiver Xavier Worthy.

They host the 2-2 New Orleans Saints at Arrowhead on Monday Night Football, with running back Alvin Kamara in red hot form and boasting five TD's. However, the Chiefs defense have allowed just 56 yards per game to the rush offense so this could well be the crucial battle of the night.

I might sound like a broken record here but I'm taking Kansas to win this one, again.... just. - Adam

Season Records:

Against the Spread:

  • Adam – 33-30
  • Alan – 32-31
  • Jonny – 25-38
  • Neil – 30-33

Straight Up:

  • Adam –34-29
  • Alan – 33-30
  • Jonny – 33-30
  • Neil – 30-33
