Week 14 NFL Picks & Predictions:

Friday - 01:15:

Game 1: Patriots (+5.5) @ Steelers

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Steelers
  • Alan: Steelers
  • Jonny: Patriots
  • Neil: Steelers

Money Line - Steelers 4/11 & Patriots 11/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Steelers
  • Alan: Steelers
  • Jonny: Steelers
  • Neil: Steelers

Comments: Two of the worst offenses in the league lock horns on Thursday night/Friday morning, and with both teams missing key pieces, I'm fully expecting a boring, low-scoring game.

For the Steelers, Kenny Pickett suffered an injury on Sunday, which means Mitchell Trubisky is likely going to be making his first start of the season in this game and he'll be doing it against a Patriots defense that has only given up an average of 8.67 points per game over the past three weeks.

For all the plaudits New England have received for their defense, they currently have the worst offense in the NFL. I think the Steelers will have enough to edge it on the money line, but the Pats' defensive line may be good enough for them to cover here. - Jonny

Sunday - 18:00:

Game 2: Buccaneers (+2.5) @ Falcons

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Falcons
  • Alan: Falcons
  • Jonny: Buccaneers
  • Neil: Falcons

Money Line - Falcons 8/11 & Buccaneers 23/20

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Falcons
  • Alan: Falcons
  • Jonny: Buccaneers
  • Neil: Falcons

Comments: NFC South adversaries clash at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The Saints are bang in the very tight Divisional title picture too, so this is a significant affair. Atlanta have home field, and a perfect record thus far against their closest rivals. They’re the more convincing in my view of two pretty ordinary outfits - Alan

Game 3: Rams (+7.5) @ Ravens

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Rams
  • Alan: Rams
  • Jonny: Ravens
  • Neil: Ravens

Money Line - Ravens 3/10 & Rams 13/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Ravens
  • Alan: Ravens
  • Jonny: Ravens
  • Neil: Ravens

Comments: A mouth-waterer, between two in-form sides in the thick of postseason possibilities. The 6-6 Rams are in the process of rescuing their campaign to a point, having won 3 on the spin.

Baltimore (9-3) readily top the AFC North and of course have the mighty Lamar Jackson under centre. Odell Beckham Jr too, contributing meaningfully. It’s at M&T Bank, and those Ravens can prevail – but cover? Hmmmm …. interesting …. - Alan

Game 4: Lions (-3.5) @ Bears

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Lions
  • Alan: Lions
  • Jonny: Lions
  • Neil: Lions

Money Line - Lions 4/7 & Bears 7/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Lions
  • Alan: Lions
  • Jonny: Lions
  • Neil: Lions

Comments: Top plays bottom in the NFC North, as the 9-3 Lions travel to face the 4-8 Bears.

I was surprised by the line on this one and expected Detroit to be giving up a fair few more points ATS. The Lions have already beat the Bears just under a month ago and are 5-1 on the road this season.

Basically if the good Jared Goff turns up, the Lions win easily - Adam

Game 5: Colts (+1.5) @ Bengals

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Bengals
  • Alan: Colts
  • Jonny: Bengals
  • Neil: Bengals

Money Line - Bengals 10/11 & Colts 10/11

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Bengals
  • Alan: Colts
  • Jonny: Bengals
  • Neil: Bengals

Comments: The Bengals have to keep winning if they are to have any hope of making the playoffs but currently sit bottom of the ultra-competitive AFC North.

Their cause was helped out by a terrific win over Jacksonville on Monday Night Football, with Joe Burrow's back-up, Jack Browning having himself a day.

The 27-year-old threw 32/37 for 354 yards and if he can keep up those sort of numbers, Cincy may just have a chance.

The travelling Colts have won four straight to boost their own play-off credentials but even some Minshew Magic might not be enough here. -  Adam

Game 6: Jaguars (+3.5) @ Browns

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Browns
  • Alan: Jaguars
  • Jonny: Browns
  • Neil: Browns

Money Line - Browns 4/7 & Jaguars 7/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Browns
  • Alan: Jaguars
  • Jonny: Browns
  • Neil: Browns

Comments: The biggest question mark here is whether Trevor Lawrence will play after his injury on Monday night, and if he doesn't feature, I expect the Jaguars offense to suffer significantly.

The Browns are surrendering just 260.5 yards per game this season, which ranks first overall in the NFL.

Sure, Cleveland have QB issues of their own, but I think the absence of Lawrence will hurt the Jags, and ultimately see the Browns prevail. - Jonny

Game 7: Panthers (+4.5) @ Saints

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Saints
  • Alan: Saints
  • Jonny: Saints
  • Neil: Saints

Money Line - Saints 4/9 & Panthers 15/8

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Saints
  • Alan: Saints
  • Jonny: Saints
  • Neil: Saints

Comments: The NFC South is really a bang-average division and no-one really deserves to make the playoffs but someone will at the end of the day. New Orleans' have as good a shot as any being just a game out of first-place and they face a Carolina sidewho are playing for the first overall pick in the draft. 4.5pts seems reasonable enough and the home side will do just enough to cover in a low-scoriong win - Neil

Game 8: Texans (-5.5) @ Jets

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Texans
  • Alan: Texans
  • Jonny: Jets
  • Neil: Texans

Money Line - Texans 2/5 & Jets 2/1

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Texans
  • Alan: Texans
  • Jonny: Texans
  • Neil: Texans

Comments: See me over here trying to jump on board the Houston Texans bandwagon? It is pretty full and whilst I'm not exactly a total-believer yet, I've done with predicting they will find ways to lose. CJ Stroud has shown that he's a very impressive rookie QB and boy I bet Ryan Day wishes he'd stayed in Columbus for one more year. The Jets have a mighty fine D but the O really has to go. Give me Houston - Neil

Sunday - 21:05:

Game 9: Vikings (-2.5) @ Raiders

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Raiders
  • Alan: Raiders
  • Jonny: Vikings
  • Neil: Vikings

Money Line - Vikings 8/13 & Raiders 13/10

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Raiders
  • Alan: Raiders
  • Jonny: Vikings
  • Neil: Vikings

Comments: Minnesota are still very much in-play for a wildcard berth and considering their starting QB is done for the year and they weren't really that good even when he was available, it says plenty as to how shallow the quality is in the NFC behind the obvious top-tier of teams.

I do like Joshua Dobbs as an emergency QB but last time out it was as ugly as I am in the aftermath of a roast dinner just laying on the sofa wishing for my food baby to go away. 22 of 32 sounds ok but four interceptions, oh boy. Still I don't rate the Raiders at all, so I'll give the Vikings QB the benefit of the doubt and roll with him one more time - Neil

Game 10: Seahawks (+10.5) @ 49ers

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: 49ers
  • Alan: 49ers
  • Jonny: 49ers
  • Neil: 49ers

Money Line - 49ers 2/11 & Seahawks 4/1

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: 49ers
  • Alan: 49ers
  • Jonny: 49ers
  • Neil: 49ers

Comments:  Is it time to hit the panic button in Seattle?

After Week 11, the Seahawks were 6-3, and they looked to be a shoo-in to make the playoffs. However, they've now lost three-straight and things won't be getting any easier with the 49ers this week, who are arguably the best team in NFL at the moment.

However, the Seahawks have a poor record against San Francisco, losing their last four encounters against them.

The 49ers are better at almost every position on offense, the 49ers defense is playing much better than Seattle's and the 49ers haven't lost to this team in two years.  Surely all points to a San Francisco win, right? - Jonny

Sunday - 21:25

Game 11: Bills (+2.5) @ Chiefs

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Chiefs
  • Alan: Chiefs
  • Jonny: Bills
  • Neil: Bills

Money Line - Chiefs 20/29 & Bills 6/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Chiefs
  • Alan: Chiefs
  • Jonny: Chiefs
  • Neil: Bills

Comments: What the hell is going on with Kansas City?

The Chiefs have now lost two out of their last three games, after a disappointing debut for Patrick Mahomes at Lambeau, which saw them fall to 8-4 for the season. Luckily the AFC West isn't terribly competitive right now, so they should still be comfortable for a playoff spot.

The 6-6 Bills (yes I did just type that!) are in town which usually throws up one of the games of the season in recent times. Buffalo have had a bye week to prepare but the Chiefs will be anxious to prove their credentials as the AFC's best Super Bowl candidate, in front of a expectant and raucous Arrowhead. - Adam

Game 12: Broncos (+2.5) @ Chargers

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Broncos
  • Alan: Broncos
  • Jonny: Broncos
  • Neil: Chargers

Money Line - Chargers 8/13 & Broncos 13/10

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Broncos
  • Alan: Broncos
  • Jonny: Chargers
  • Neil: Chargers

Comments: The five-game win streak is over in Denver and I do not like them to start up another on the road in LA. The Broncos have been one of the success stories of the season with Russell Wilson looking at least serviceable after a quite shocking 2022 season.

Backing the Chargers to win fills me with dread as they only scored six points last week in what was one of the worst games the NFL has seen for a while, yet that was six more than the Pats did. Low-scoring but the home side win by a FG - Neil

Monday - 01:20

Game 13: Eagles (+3.5) @ Cowboys

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Cowboys
  • Alan: Eagles
  • Jonny: Eagles
  • Neil: Cowboys

Money Line - Cowboys 8/15 & Eagles 6/4

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Cowboys
  • Alan: Eagles
  • Jonny: Cowboys
  • Neil: Cowboys

Comments: Wow, and then wow some more.

Dallas predictably beat Seattle last time but not by enough to cover, thus maintaining the jinx concerning when I’m daft enough to tip ‘em up. Philadelphia meanwhile were mangled by the 49ers, for whom Purdy, McCaffrey and Samuel were absolutely magnificent I thought.

‘Niners – our new 11/4 Super Bowl favs, and quite right after that. This belongs in the ‘too difficult’ drawer, but I’ll 100% be tuning in, fascinated by whatever might be in store - Alan

Tuesday - 01:15

Game 14: Titans (+13.5) @ Dolphins

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Dolphins
  • Alan: Dolphins
  • Jonny: Titans
  • Neil: Titans

Money Line - Dolphins 1/8 & Titans 11/2

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Dolphins
  • Alan: Dolphins
  • Jonny: Dolphins
  • Neil: Dolphins

Comments: The first of two Monday Night Football offerings sees the joint best team in the AFC conference, taking on one of the worst.

Miami are 9-3 and playing some tremendous attacking football at present, whilst the Titans blew a lead last time out against the Colts to drop to 4 and 8.

The Dolphins are 4-1 at home against the spread and Tennessee are 0-6 in road games. This one isn't going to be pretty, especialy if the injured Derrick Henry doesn't recover in time. -  Adam

Game 15: Packers (-6.5) @ Giants

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Packers
  • Alan: Packers
  • Jonny: Packers
  • Neil: Packers

Money Line - Packers 1/3 & Giants 12/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Packers
  • Alan: Packers
  • Jonny: Packers
  • Neil: Packers

Comments: Another mightily impressive side from last week – Green Bay. Happy to say I tipped them to beat the Chiefs, and QB Jordan Love certainly had himself a game. I don’t see the Giants being able to score enough to trouble The Pack, who can surely cover - Alan

Season Records:

Against the Spread:

  • Adam: 93-100
  • Alan: 94-99
  • Jonny: 101-92
  • Neil: 96-97

Straight Up:

  • Adam: 114-79
  • Alan: 121-72
  • Jonny: 117-76
  • Neil: 110-83
