Week 9 of the season didn't go too badly for our NFL tipsters...

Straight up, everybody went at least 7-7, so there were no losing records this week, with Alan, Adam and Jonny all scoring 9-5. When picking looking Against the Spread, Jonny came out on top going 8-6, with Neil and Alan both following closely at 7-7.

Four teams have a bye this week, so there are 14 games to cover including the second match in Germany - that game takes place in the 14:30 GMT window.

*Odds accurate as of 09:00, Wednesday 8 November, 2023

Bye Teams: Dolphins, Rams, Chiefs & Eagles.

Week 10 NFL Picks & Predictions:

Friday - 01:15AM:

Game 1: Panthers (+3.5) @ Bears

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Bears
  • Alan: Bears
  • Jonny: Bears
  • Neil: Panthers

Money Line: Bears 8/15 & Panthers 6/4

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Bears
  • Alan: Bears
  • Jonny: Bears
  • Neil: Panthers

Comments: Two poor sides face off in Chicago as the 2-7 Bears host the 1-7 Panthers. The Windy City side could be boosted by the return of Justin Fields at quarterback, after his layoff with a troubling thumb injury.

Meanwhile, Carolina continue to struggle, as does #1 draft pick Bryce Young, who has almost as many interceptions as TD's this season.

The Panthers have conceded an average of 36.2 points on their four road losses and I expect the Bears to cover the spread here fairly comfortably - Adam

Sunday - 14:30 (in Germany):

Game 2: Colts (-1.5) @ Patriots

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Colts
  • Alan: Patriots
  • Jonny: Colts
  • Neil: Colts

Money Line: Colts 4/5 & Patriots 21/20

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Colts
  • Alan: Patriots
  • Jonny: Colts
  • Neil: Colts

Comments: The decision for the Pats to move on from Tom Brady back in 2019 looks to be getting worse and worse as the weeks go by for New England and Bill Belichick.

Simply put, his team can't win games and last week they lost to a Commanders team that isn't even trying to win after trading away two of their defensive stars at the trade deadline.

Belichick has never lost in Europe but I think that comes to an end this weekend. - Jonny

Sunday - 18:00:

Game 3: Browns (+5.5) @ Ravens

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Browns
  • Alan: Ravens
  • Jonny: Ravens
  • Neil: Ravens

Money Line: Ravens 4/11 & Browns 11/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Ravens
  • Alan: Ravens
  • Jonny: Ravens
  • Neil: Ravens

Comments: The AFC North is turning into a bloodbath. Heading into Week 10, all four teams are two games above .500, which makes this showdown all the more intriguing.

The Browns will also be bringing the NFL's best defense to this game, while the Ravens come into this one off the back sticking 37 points past Seattle.

I feel like this game will be decided by who plays better between Lamar Jackson and Deshaun Watson and I'll take Jackson in that debate. - Jonny

Game 4: Texans (+7.5) @ Bengals

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Texans
  • Alan: Bengals
  • Jonny: Bengals
  • Neil: Bengals

Money Line: Bengals 3/10 & Texans 5/2

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Bengals
  • Alan: Bengals
  • Jonny: Bengals
  • Neil: Bengals

Comments: The Bengals are kicking into gear at just the right time after a really poor start to the season. Joe Burrow appears to have his mobility and his mojo back and Cincy have won five straight games. However, they still remain bottom of the powerhouse AFC North and will need to keep winning to gain a strong position going into the playoffs.

It couldn't really be a worse time then to play the Texans, who are showing they have got a bit about themselves this year, in particular in the form of rookie QB CJ Stroud. The #2 draft pick has been magnificent thus far and went to a new level in week 9, leading his side to a dramatic comeback win on the back of a 470 yard, Five touchdown performance - a record for a rookie in the NFL.

I'm taking the Bengals to win this one but the Texans to keep it close - Adam

Game 5: 49ers (-3.5) @ Jaguars

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Jaguars
  • Alan: Jaguars
  • Jonny: 49ers
  • Neil: 49ers

Money Line: 49ers 8/13 & Jaguars 13/10

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Jaguars
  • Alan: Jaguars
  • Jonny: 49ers
  • Neil: 49ers

Comments: These two teams are in complete contrasting form.

One one hand, the Jags are the hottest team in the NFL and currently on a five-game winning streak, and on the other we have the 49ers, who haven't won a match since Week 5.

To be fair, the 49ers' biggest issue during their three-game losing streak has been injuries, but both teams are coming off a bye week, which San Francisco desperately needed.

The Niners have added Chase Young to the ranks, who should provide a boost to the pass-rushing game, and I do believe the 49ers offense will thrive here. - Jonny

Game 6: Saints (-2.5) @ Vikings

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Vikings
  • Alan: Vikings
  • Jonny: Vikings
  • Neil: Saints

Money Line: Saints 20/29 & Vikings 6/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Vikings
  • Alan: Vikings
  • Jonny: Vikings
  • Neil: Saints

Comments: Both sides come into this NFC battle with a 5-4 record and this game could be crucial in deciding who makes the playoff places.

After the loss of QB Kirk Cousins for the season, the Vikings brought in Joshua Dobbs as back-up but he was needed far sooner than expected in week 9. The 28-year-old has bounced around the league but showed his tremendous talent on Sunday, virtually winning the game by himself, with two TD passes and a rushing TD to ice the game.

Meanwhile, the Saints are trudging along with the dual QB threat of Derek Carr and Taysom Hill giving them options in the redzone. They've won their last two games but this will be a much tougher challenge than last week.

I'm taking the Vikings, under Dobbs, to keep up the momentum here - Adam

Game 7: Packers (+3.5) @ Steelers

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Steelers
  • Alan: Packers
  • Jonny: Packers
  • Neil: Steelers

Money Line: Steelers 4/7 & Packers 7/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Steelers
  • Alan: Packers
  • Jonny: Packers
  • Neil: Steelers

Comments: Two legendary franchises square up in Acrisure Stadium, formerly Heinz Field. Home field advantage could be key, as there's relatively little to choose between them in my book.

Both are unconvincing overall - and unless one of the QBs gets hot, I'm not sure this one is likely to be first up on Match of the Day, proverbially, but let's hope I'm wrong. Small stakes on the under (around 38.5) - Alan

Game 8: Titans (+1.5) @ Buccaneers

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Titans
  • Alan: Buccaneers
  • Jonny: Buccaneers
  • Neil: Titans

Money Line: Buccaneers 10/11 & Titans 10/11

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Titans
  • Alan: Buccaneers
  • Jonny: Buccaneers
  • Neil: Titans

Comments: You can have 250/1 about either of these sides lifting the Super Bowl in February, which is not I'm sure how they hoped they'd be viewed by the layers as November hits its straps.

Identical 3-5 records tells its own tale, but the Bucs look slightly more potent on offense, arguably. Fiendishly tricky to figure - another small stakes job - Alan

Sunday - 21:05:

Game 9: Falcons (-1.5) @ Cardinals

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Falcons
  • Alan: Falcons
  • Jonny: Falcons
  • Neil: Cardinals

Money Line: Falcons 4/5 & Cardinals 21/20

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Falcons
  • Alan: Falcons
  • Jonny: Falcons
  • Neil: Cardinals

Comments: The Cards are a woeful 1-8, while the Falcons stand at a more respectable 4-5.  It's in Arizona, hence I guess the slim spread, but really the Falcons should be covering and might just about be the bet of the weekend for me (famous last ..)

The reverses Atlanta have suffered have often been narrow ones and the visitors can prevail here - Alan

Game 10: Lions (-2.5) @ Chargers

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Lions
  • Alan: Chargers
  • Jonny: Chargers
  • Neil: Lions

Money Line: Lions 8/11 & Chargers 23/20

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Lions
  • Alan: Chargers
  • Jonny: Lions
  • Neil: Lions

Comments: This is an interesting one, with the Lions coming off a bye week and the Chargers off the back of a short week, having beaten the Jets on Monday Night Football.

Detroit are 3-1 on the road this season and will be confident of picking up another scalp on their west coast road trip. They have RB David Montgomery back, who should cause big problems for the LA defense and this could come down to a shootout between Jared Goff and Justin Herbert.

I like Dan Campbell's side to win this one in a high scoring, close battle - Adam

Sunday - 21:25:

Game 11: Giants (+15.5) @ Cowboys

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Cowboys
  • Alan: Giants
  • Jonny: Cowboys
  • Neil: Cowboys

Money Line: Cowboys 1/14 & Giants 17/2

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Cowboys
  • Alan: Cowboys
  • Jonny: Cowboys
  • Neil: Cowboys

Comments: I feel like the Giants' season so far has been eerily similar to Manchester United's in the Premier League.

They both enjoyed promising campaigns under new head coaches last year, which brought some success back to the club, but they have since failed to build upon that, and now things appear to be unravelling at an alarming rate.

Daniel Jones appears to be out until the end of the season after suffering an ACL tear in Week 9, and the Cowboys have been excellent at home this season.

Despite this being a rivalry clash, I see no hope for the G-Men here. - Jonny

Game 12: Commanders (+6.5) @ Seahawks

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Commanders
  • Alan: Seahawks
  • Jonny: Seahawks
  • Neil: Commanders

Money Line: Seahawks 4/11 & Commanders 11/5

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Seahawks
  • Alan: Seahawks
  • Jonny: Seahawks
  • Neil: Commanders

Comments: Metcalfe, Lockett and company were becalmed at weekend for the 'Hawks, and Geno threw an interception but no TDs. Washington are suffering in a white-hot NFC East with the Eagles and Cowboys to contend with, while Seattle pop along nicely in the West tying with the inconsistent 49ers. They can resume winning ways.

Home comforts - Seattle for me - Alan

Monday - 01:20:

Game 13: Jets (-1.5) @ Raiders

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Raiders
  • Alan: Jets
  • Jonny: Raiders
  • Neil: Raiders

Money Line: Jets 5/6 & Raiders EVS

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Raiders
  • Alan: Jets
  • Jonny: Jets
  • Neil: Raiders

Comments: Basement stuff - 66/1 and 250/1 respectively for Super Bowl - but I was daft enough to tip up the Jets last week and I'm going to do exactly the same this.

Still like coach Rob Saleh, but need QB Zach Wilson, filling Aaron Rodgers' shoes (who could?), to do better. This is an eminently winnable affair for the 4-4 New Yorkers.

Tuesday - 01:15:

Game 14: Broncos (+7.5) @ Bills

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Bills
  • Alan: Bills
  • Jonny: Bills
  • Neil: Bills

Money Line: Bills 1/4 & Broncos 3/1

Picks Straight Up:

  • Adam: Bills
  • Alan: Bills
  • Jonny: Bills
  • Neil: Bills

Comments: Another interesting looking matchup takes place on Monday Night Football, with the Bills looking to overturn their disappointing loss to the Bengals, in Sundays primetime showdown in week 9. Now they take on the Broncos, who are coming off a bye week, on the back of back-to-back wins, including over the Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Buffalo are 4-0 at home and should have enough to win this one but they are not clicking offensively and Denver have shown improvement. I'll take the Bills to just cover the spread - Adam

Season Records:

Against the Spread:

  • Adam: 64-72
  • Alan: 70-66
  • Jonny: 72-64
  • Neil: 72-64

Straight Up:

  • Adam: 78-58
  • Alan: 86-50
  • Jonny: 80-56
  • Neil: 78-58
