It's Week 2 in the National Football League, and the season has certainly got off to a flying start. Buffalo's breathless win against Baltimore was one for the ages, and the Aaron Rodgers past-and-present show at MetLife was pretty special, too.

Let's take a look at some of the props (proposition bets - additional markets to the main money line, game total and spread/handicap odds). If we put a few together in a parlay (more US sport terminology) we can hopefully have a bit of fun for a modest outlay. Here's then is this week's rhubarb ...

NFL Odds

NFL Prop Bets - Week 2

Derrick Henry Total Rushing Yards Milestones, Ravens vs Browns - 100 or more @ 11/10

Rolls-Royce running back 'King' Henry came out on the wrong side of a 41-40 thriller against the Bills last weekend but that was no reflection on him - he charged for 169 yards over 18 carries, and registered two TDs. He's a force of nature.

I get Marshawn Lynch vibes when I see the level of domination he's achieving, and I think he can take advantage of the Browns to the extent of notching 100 or more rushing yards on Sunday.

Odds-against is a very reasonable return in my book, and watch out for Derrick doing his thing in that inimitable style at M&T Bank in Baltimore.

Justin Fields - Total Rushing Yards Under +45.5, Jets vs Bills, @ 10/11

The Jets lost narrowly at home to the Steelers in Week 1, but I was quite taken by QB Justin Fields' performance in defeat.

He passed for 218 yds, and rushed for 48. In the opposing dugout Aaron Rodgers, a Jet himself until the off-season, threw for 244 yards but rushing wasn't his thing on the day - perhaps at this point in his career that's a wise, pragmatic course on the impact avoidance front.

Poor NY - out of the frying pan, into the fire. The Bills are in town now and I'm wagering that Justin won't have quite as much freedom against Buffalo, who after that thrilling win against the Ravens will now be looking to go deep; perhaps with a long unbeaten run.

The road to Super Bowl has of course already started, even if we're barely out of the car park. I'm looking for the Bills to bottle up the QB on what could be another frustrating night for the MetLife faithful.

Aaron Rodgers - over 1.5 passing Touchdowns, Steelers vs Seahawks @ 6/4

Please see above - Mr Rodgers may have been a little careful in New York but he got the job done nicely in the end. Buoyed by that, he's sure to get a hero's welcome when he makes his Steelers' home debut against the Seahawks at weekend.

Expect to see him move through the gears as the season unfolds and his confidence grows. This is an elite talent that surely 'only' needs to be healthy to utilise that generational skill that saw him operate to such great effect for all those years in Green Bay.

Couple of TDs or more? Absolutely!

Henry total rushing yards 100 or more - Fields total rushing yards under 45.5 - Rodgers passing touchdowns over 1.5
