NBA Betting Tips: Three picks for Thursday’s action
We really are knocking on the door, ladies and gentlemen. Yesterday's selections almost came in once again - we just needed the New York Knicks to beat the Miami Heat by an additional three points for a full house.
Thursday night brings us four fixtures from the world of the NBA, so read on below to find out my NBA Betting Tips.

Orlando Magic -5.5 (vs Los Angeles Clippers) @ 10/11
My first pick comes from the cross-conference clash between the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Clippers.
The Clippers are in the midst of a seven-game road trip, and so far they’ve only beaten the Dallas Mavericks in double overtime, while in their other two games they’ve lost by three and two points. James Harden has been sensational for LA recently, but relying on a 36-year-old to bail you out of trouble every night is not sustainable.
The Magic surprised many fans, myself included, when they beat the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night. Orlando demonstrated a balanced attack, with all five starters scoring in double-figures despite the absence of their star player Paolo Banchero.
Player for player, I believe the Clippers only have an advantage at the center position, and with just one win in eight road games this season for LA, I'm going for the Magic to cover here.

Money Line - Philadelphia 76ers (@ Milwaukee Bucks) @ 4/5
My next pick comes from the Fiserv Forum as the Milwaukee Bucks host the Philadelphia 76ers.
The intriguing aspect of this matchup for me, is that both teams' star players are expected to be sidelined - Giannis Antetokounmpo for the Bucks and Joel Embiid for Philly.
The Sixers have split their first six road games of the season and are looking to bounce back from a shock defeat to Toronto last time out, while Milwaukee's form at home has been respectable, winning five of their eight contests in front of their fans.
With Antetokounmpo and Embiid missing, this is a fascinating contest. Philly are a better defensive team than the Bucks, and Embiid's absence should allow Tyrese Maxey to thrive and lead the Sixers to a win here.

Under 230.5 points - San Antonio Spurs vs Atlanta Hawks @ 1/1
My final pick comes from the matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and the Atlanta Hawks.
I think both of these teams have surprised fans this season, as the Hawks are currently in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, and the Spurs are in the same position in the Western Conference.
Victor Wembanyama has been excellent for the Spurs, leading them to being one of the best defensive teams in the league (they rank third in defensive efficiency) and they're 7-2 on their home floor to start the new campaign.
The Hawks are also in good form heading into Thursday's contest, winning seven of their first nine road games, so this is a difficult match to call looking at the sides on paper.
These two teams both rank in the bottom third of the NBA in terms of tempo, so I'm expecting a low-scoring game - the under on the points total is certainly worth a look here.
