NBA Betting Tips: Three picks for Thursday’s action

Well, we've been brought straight back down to earth after Tuesday's success of four winners, as none of our three picks for yesterday's action came in.

Nevertheless, there's more NBA action heading our way tonight, so read on for our NBA Betting Tips for Thursday, November 13.

Cleveland Cavaliers -8.5 (vs Toronto Raptors) @ 21/20

The Cavs are coming off a very respectable win in Miami on Wednesday night - and I thought they'd struggle without Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland, however, the former is expected to return here.

Toronto haven't made a terrible start to the new season and have a record of 6-5, but they're taking on a Cleveland side with a record of 4-1 in front of their own fans, so their work may be cut out here.

The Cavs have given up too many points defensively so far this season, but their front court should dominate the paint tonight, leading them to a comfortable win at home.

Indiana Pacers +4.5 (@ Phoenix Suns) @ 5/6

From the high of reaching the NBA Finals last season, the story of this campaign has been the complete opposite so far for the Pacers.

Indiana enter this game with a record of 1-10, and they conceded 152 points in their defeat to the Utah Jazz last time out - to put it mildly, the defence is struggling. The primary issue for this has been injuries - they're missing key players like Tyrese Haliburton, Obi Toppin and Bennedict Mathurin.

The Suns are a team of sharpshooters and it's unlikely that the Pacers will outscore them here. However, despite the doom and gloom surrounding Indiana, they're still an excellent rebounding team, and if they can do that well against Phoenix, they can keep the score close in our opinion.

Atlanta Hawks -1.5 (@ Utah Jazz) @ 5/6

As mentioned above, Utah dropped 152 points in their home victory against Indiana last time out -the fourth-highest point total in a game in franchise history - so they will be full of confidence heading into Thursday's tussle with Atlanta.

That night, everything clicked for the Jazz, but there's no guarantee of that happening again here, and the Hawks are in excellent form, riding a three-game winning streak.

Atlanta boast a roster full of young players known for their versatility, size, agility, shooting, and passing ability, and although they've had less time to recover than Utah for this matchup, they have the ammunition to outscore their opponents here. Neither side are known for their defensive capabilities, so if this becomes a shootout, there's only one winner.
