NBA Betting Tips: 6/1 treble for Monday

March Madness has taken centre stage in the world of basketball, but the NBA returns on Monday night with an eight-game slate, with plenty of intriguing match-ups on display.

Read on for my NBA betting tips for Monday, March 24 where I pick out a 6/1 treble.

Indiana Pacers vs Minnesota Timberwolves - Under 231.5 points @ 10/11

The Pacers are looking to extend their five-game winning streak here when the Minnesota Timberwolves visit Gainbridge Fieldhouse for the second time in a week.

Indiana began this winning run against the Timberwolves back on March 17, in a high-scoring 132-130 victory that went into overtime. However, the offence is susceptible to drying up every now and again, as shown by their narrow wins over Dallas and Brooklyn.

Minnesota's star guard Anthony Edwards could be sidelined through injury here, and he's averaging 27.5 points per game, which would be a significant loss to the Timberwolves attack.

This has been a winning bet in each of Indiana's last two contests, and with Edwards potentially absent, I'm going to predict a low-scoring game on Monday night.

Orlando Magic vs Los Angeles Lakers - Magic (+3.5) @ 21/20

The Lakers start their four-game away run when they visit the Orlando Magic on Monday night, and they're looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat against the Chicago Bulls.

LeBron James returned from injury against the Bulls but it wasn't enough to stop them from suffering a 146-115 loss, and LA's previous road trip was one to forget as they went 0-4 and slipped down a couple of spots in the Western Conference.

The Magic are having a disappointing season that has mainly been derailed by injuries, but Paolo Banchero has been their shining light. The 22-year-old has averaged 30.6 points per game across Orlando's last 12 matches, which is the second-highest in the NBA.

My one concern for the Lakers is that Luka Doncic and James are playing heavy minutes, which is probably what contributed to the 31-point loss to the Bulls. Banchero's form makes me think he can take advantage of a tired and sluggish LA defence and help Orlando cover here.

New Orleans Pelicans vs Philadelphia 76ers - Over 233.5 @ 10/11

My final pick comes from the Pelicans' clash with the 76ers.

Philly are 13th in the East while New Orleans are second-bottom in the West, so essentially both teams have nothing to play for, which I believe can lead to a high-scoring game.

Another reason I'm opting for the points market is that this game could go either way, depending who wants it more on the day. Both teams are in dire form - the Sixers have lost their last four, and the Pelicans have lost five of their last six.

Backing the over has been a profitable bet in the last eight 76ers games on the road, and this bet has also landed in five of the last six contests between these two teams.
