It's the start of a new week, and a new month, so what better way to begin than to dive into some NBA action. There's a nine-game slate on Monday night, so plenty of intrigue stateside.
Read on for my NBA Betting Tips for Monday, December 1.
NBA Betting Tips - Monday, December 1

- Houston Rockets -11.5 (@ Utah Jazz) @ 5/6
- Los Angeles Lakers -6.5 (vs Phoenix Suns) @ 21/20

Detroit Pistons -9.5 (vs Atlanta Hawks) @ 10/11
This contest will be the second of a back-to-back for the Hawks, which I can't say bodes well for them here, especially after surviving a double-overtime thriller at Philadelphia on Sunday.
Atlanta are expected to be without their two best players in Trae Young and Kristaps Porzingis, who have missed the previous two fixtures, for the trip to Detroit, and the Pistons are the best team in the Eastern Conference at the time of writing.
The Pistons have only lost to Cleveland and Orlando at home, so it's difficult to see the Hawks laying a glove on them here. Detroit simply have too much firepower in my opinion, which is why I'm backing them to cover the spread.

Houston Rockets -11.5 (@ Utah Jazz) @ 5/6
Houston and Utah will cross paths once again after the Rockets emerged 129-101 winners in Sunday's match-up.
The Rockets have been excellent so far this season, and they're currently sitting in third spot in the Western Conference with a record of 13-4.
Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun are becoming one of the best one-two punches in the league, and the pair combined for 52 points in Houston's win over the Jazz on Sunday. What's stopping them from doing the same again here?
Utah are 6-13 for the season, and I don't see them keeping this one close.

Los Angeles Lakers -6.5 (vs Phoenix Suns) @ 21/20
There is plenty of momentum behind the Lakers at the moment, who have started the season 15-4 and are currently on a seven-game winning streak.
LA's fantastic start has mainly been aided by Luka Doncic's scoring (averaging 35.1 points) but also Austin Reaves performing at an All-Star level. Add in LeBron James, who I'm sure you will have heard of, and it's easy to see why the Lakers have been playing so well.
Phoenix have lost three of their last four games and have struggled for consistency this term, so I'm taking the Lakers to continue their winning streak here.
