NBA Betting Tips: Lakers to get back to winning ways?

76ers @ Pistons - 76ers (-11.5) @ 10/11

The Pistons are looking to avoid a 21st consecutive loss when they welcome the Philadelphia 76ers to Little Caesars Arena on Wednesday night.

Monty Williams certainly has a tough task on his hands trying to lift this Detroit side, who were blown out by the Indiana Pacers last time out.

The Sixers currently rank second in the NBA for offensive rating, and it's difficult to see the Pistons slowing them down here. Injuries to Jalen Duren and Marvin Bagley III should see Joel Embiid take advantage in the paint, and rack up the points.

Lakers @ Spurs - Lakers (-2.5) @ 10/11

It didn’t take long for the Lakers to revert back to their old habits of playing no defense in last night's 127-125 loss to the Dallas Mavericks, but they have the chance to bounce back against an inexperienced Spurs side.

LeBron James continues to defy 'Father Time' with his performances, and the 38-year-old is currently averaging 25.3 points per game, which puts him inside the top-15 of the NBA for scoring.

San Antonio’s troubles continued on Monday night as they scored just 82 points in a road loss at Houston, and only the Detroit Pistons have a longer losing streak at this moment in time.

Aside from the possibility of the Lakers resting players, it’s really hard to find any other reason to back the Spurs here. Even with a weaker roster though, I still feel like the Lakers are winning this comfortably.

Knicks @ Jazz - Knicks (-5.5) @ 10/11

The Jazz and the Knicks have both lost key contributors to injury in recent weeks.

For the past eight games, Utah have been without their leading scorer, as All-Star forward Lauri Markkanen has been hampered by a strained left hamstring.

While it's unclear when the Finnish star will return to Utah's lineup, the New York Knicks just began a stretch of games without one of their top players too, in the form of Mitchell Robinson.

The Knicks recently snapped a two-game losing streak and are losers of two straight on the road, but the Jazz are a mess right now, having lost their past three outings. The Jazz struggle to put up points without Markkanen, and the Knicks defense - even without Robinson - should have enough quality to help cover the spread here.
