The NBA regular season continues on Thursday night with a five-game slate, which is headlined by the likes of the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers.

The Nuggets and Bucks also feature in the early hours of Friday morning, and I've put together a treble for my NBA betting tips for Thursday, February 27.

NBA Betting Tips - Thursday, February 27

  • Orlando Magic vs Golden State Warriors - Warriors (-5.5) @ 10/11
  • Milwaukee Bucks vs Denver Nuggets - Nuggets (-3.5) @ 1/1
  • Los Angeles Lakers vs Minnesota Timberwolves - Lakers (-4.5) @ 10/13

Treble pays @ 5.75/1

Orlando Magic vs Golden State Warriors - Warriors (-5.5) @ 10/11

The Magic host the new-look Warriors in the early hours on Friday (00:00, live on TNT Sports 1).

Steve Kerr's side have won their last four and are 6-1 since acquiring Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler at the trade deadline. The Warriors offence has been inconsistent this season but since the arrival of Butler, they've looked one of the most potent attacks in the league.

This will be a big test for Golden State due to the physicality of Orlando's defence, but the visitors know that they need to keep the wins rolling in order to move up the Western Conference standings.

The Warriors have already beaten Orlando this season, who have struggled for consistency this term with a record of 29-31, and rank 30th in the league in terms of points per game average (103.9).

The Magic have talent but I'm expecting the Warriors to ride the momentum wave and secure another victory here.

Orlando Magic vs Golden State Warriors - Point Spread Golden State Warriors (-5.5)

Odds correct at time of publishing.

Milwaukee Bucks vs Denver Nuggets - Nuggets (-3.5) @ 1/1

Two of the league's most recent champions will face off in a mouth-watering clash in the early hours of Friday morning (01:00).

The Nuggets are currently tied for second place in the Western Conference with a record of 38-20, and they started their four-game road trip with a convincing victory over the Pacers.

Meanwhile, the Bucks narrowly lost to Houston last time out, ending a four-game winning streak in the process. Milwaukee have now dropped to fifth in the East, and will start to look over their shoulders due to the resurgence of sixth-placed Detroit.

Denver are one of the highest-scoring teams in the NBA, ranking third in points per game average (121.3) behind the Memphis Grizzlies and Cleveland Cavaliers. Nikola Jokic continues to operate at an MVP-calibre level and would be runaway favourite for his fourth award if not for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's performances in Oklahoma City.

Apart from a loss to the new-look Lakers, Denver have been near-perfect for the past month, so I'm backing them to edge out their opponents here and secure a narrow victory.

Milwaukee Bucks vs Denver Nuggets - Point Spread Denver Nuggets (-3.5)

Los Angeles Lakers vs Minnesota Timberwolves - Lakers (-4.5) @ 10/13

My final pick comes from the Lakers' match-up with Minnesota, which takes place at the Crypto.com Arena in the early hours of Friday morning (03:30).

The Lakers are the talk of the NBA at this moment in time after the blockbuster trade with Dallas that sent Luka Doncic to Southern California, and Anthony Davis the other way.

Doncic looks to be settling into his role in LA after reportedly being stunned by the trade, and he was instrumental in the recent victories over Denver and the Mavericks.

The Timberwolves have had an underwhelming season up until this point, especially since they made the Western Conference Finals last year. They are 32-27 for the season, and currently sit in seventh place in the West.

I think Minnesota can keep this game close with the talent that they have, but Doncic and LeBron James should run the show on Friday morning, leading the Lakers to victory.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Minnesota Timberwolves - Point Spread Los Angeles Lakers (-4.5)

Odds correct at time of publishing.
