There's just the three NBA games to preview on Thursday night ahead of the All-Star break, and we've picked out our best bets for those upcoming matches.

NBA Betting Tips

  • Bucks @ Grizzlies - Grizzlies (+11.5) @ 10/11
  • Warriors @ Jazz - Warriors @ 5/6
  • Timberwolves @ Trail Blazers - Timberwolves (-8.5) @ 10/11

Treble pays 5.68/1

Bucks @ Grizzlies - Grizzlies (+11.5) @ 10/11

The Bucks seem to be taking two steps forward and one step back under new head coach Doc Rivers, who can't seem to find any consistency from his team at the moment.

Milwaukee will be hoping to head into the All-Star break on a high note when they visit Memphis, who snapped a nine-game losing streak with a 121-113 home victory over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.

The Bucks' defeat to Miami last time out means they're now 3-6 under Rivers, and Khris Middleton remains absent through injury for Milwaukee, which is a significant blow.

At the moment, I don't trust this Milwaukee team to cover a large spread, so I'm taking Memphis to cover here.

Grizzlies to cover 11.5 spread at 10-11

Warriors @ Jazz - Warriors @ 5/6

The Warriors' five-game win streak was halted last night against the Los Angeles Clippers, but confidence will be high in Golden State's camp, as they're taking on a Jazz team that they defeated on Monday.

Since his All-Star starting place snub, Steph Curry has been excellent for the Warriors, and against the Clippers, he became the first player in NBA history with seven or more three-point shots made in four-consecutive games, dropping 41 points.

The Jazz, meanwhile, have lost their last three outings, but this game could prove to be pivotal in the playoff race, as both teams have won 26 games so far this term.

The Warriors have been on a tear recently, so I'm going to take them on the money line for this one.

Golden State Warriors to win on money line at 5-6

Timberwolves @ Trail Blazers - Timberwolves (-8.5) @ 10/11

The Timberwolves remain the best team in the Western Conference with a record of 38-16, and to be honest, I don't see them having any trouble covering a 8.5 point spread here.

Minnesota just beat Portland by 12 points on Tuesday, and their defense will make things difficult for the Trail Blazers to keep up in this game. Portland have scored 109 or fewer points in four of their last five outings, and they'll need a much-improved showing on both ends of the floor if they are to upset the odds.

In addition, the Trail Blazers have lost their last five matches, and they're second-bottom of the West for a reason - take Minnesota to cover.

Timberwolves to cover 8.5 spread at 10-11
