There are seven NBA matches taking place on Sunday, beginning with the Phoenix Suns taking on the Milwaukee Bucks at 17:00, live TNT Sports 2.

The Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks will also square-off live on TNT Sports at 19:30, in what could be a preview of this year's Western Conference Finals, and those two matches, along with Miami vs Detroit feature in our NBA Betting Tips for Sunday's action.

NBA Betting Tips - Sunday, March 17

  • Phoenix Suns to beat Milwaukee Bucks @ 11/10
  • Miami Heat -6.5 vs Detroit Pistons @ 10/11
  • Dallas Mavericks +3.5 vs Denver Nuggets @ 10/11

Treble pays 6.65/1

Phoenix Suns to beat Milwaukee Bucks @ 11/10

As mentioned above, this game is going to broadcast live on TNT Sports 2, with a UK-friendly tip-off time of 17:00.

The Suns are looking to complete the regular season sweep over the Bucks, having secured a 114-106 win at home back on February 2, although Damian Lillard and Brook Lopez were missing for Milwaukee Bucks that day.

However, even with both starters back for the Bucks, I still fancy Phoenix to take this one on the money line. When it comes to two of the league’s best offenses with several of the game’s most gifted scorers, it goes without saying that defense will be will be the key to victory here.

Phoenix have a better defensive rating than Milwaukee, along with allowing fewer points in the paint-per-game, so I think the Suns' defense will step up to slow down Giannis Antetokounmpo and co.

Phoenix Suns to win 11-10

Miami Heat -6.5 vs Detroit Pistons @ 10/11

The Miami Heat seek back-to-back wins when they travel to Detroit to take on the Pistons on Sunday, once again at a UK-friendly tip-0ff time of 19:00.

The two sides met on Friday, with the Heat prevailing 108-95, using a 15-0 run in the third quarter to take control of the match-up and halt a four-game losing streak.

Detroit are firmly in rebuilding mode, and have the second-worst record in the Easter Conference at 12-54, although they have won three of their past five matches, with wins over Brooklyn, Charlotte and Toronto.

Miami comfortably covered this spread on Friday, and there's no reason to doubt that they won't do it again on Sunday evening, with 10/11 looking like deecent value.

Miami Heat -6.5 spread at 10-11

Dallas Mavericks +3.5 vs Denver Nuggets @ 10/11

This match-up follows the Bucks/Suns game on TNT Sports, at 19:30.

The Nuggets have been locked in since the All-Star break, which is bad news for the rest of the league. They've won five-straight heading into this game, and they hold the top spot in the Western Conference with 15 games left to play.

Dallas saw their four-game win streak come to an end with Thursday's 126-119 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Mavericks are in eighth place in the West and are hoping to climb out of the play-in tournament bracket.

Luka Doncic, Dallas' superstar, sat out of Thursday's loss, but I'm expecting him to suit up here. The 25-year-old is averaging nearly a 30-point triple-double this season, and he'll be tough to slow down here.

The Mavericks tend to score inside the paint as well as beyond the arc at a high percentage, and that's tough for any team to defend.

Mavericks to cover 3.5 spread at 10-11
