NBA Betting Tips: Can we follow up Thursday’s 6/1 winner?

I managed to pick out a 6/1 treble on Thursday, so hopefully I can start a brand new week of NBA action with another winner.

My NBA betting tips for Monday will focus on Milwaukee's trip to Cleveland, Houston's contest with New York and a star-studded match-up between Philadelphia and Phoenix.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs Milwaukee Bucks - Moneyline - Cavaliers @ 1/3

The Milwaukee Bucks will visit the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night (00:00 Tuesday, live on TNT Sports 2), hoping for a better outcome than when the teams met on Saturday evening.

The Bucks were on the wrong end of a 114-113 scoreline as Donovan Mitchell hit a last-second jumpshot to win the game, which takes their record to 1-5. Khris Middleton has been a noticeable absence for Milwaukee - he's yet to feature this season due to an ankle injury - but the Bucks need to start winning games, and quickly.

Meanwhile, the Cavs have made a brilliant start to the new season - they're currently 7-0 - and they're one win away from their best start in franchise history.

Philadelphia, New York and Milwaukee - to an extent - have garnered the most attention when it comes to being a contender to Boston's crown, but the Cavs have seemingly been forgotten about, however another win here would have the NBA world sit up and take notice.

It may be a short price, but it's difficult to see anything other than a Cleveland triumph.

Houston Rockets vs New York Knicks - Knicks -3.5 @ 10/11

The New York Knicks will be hoping to continue their winning run away from home, when they take on the Houston Rockets in the early hours of Tuesday morning (01:45).

The Knicks played two home games to start the season before heading out on the road, and they've picked up two wins in their most recent away trips to Miami and Detroit.

The Rockets are aiming for their fourth win of the campaign and they've been hit and miss so far. They enjoyed a 108-102 road win against Dallas on Thursday but couldn't keep that momentum going against the Golden State Warriors at the weekend.

I'm going to take the Knicks to cover here, as I feel like they're starting to click and show their depth - their starting five all scored double figures on Saturday against Detroit, for the fourth consecutive game and the first time since 1989.

In addition, the Knicks have won eight of the last 10 meetings against Houston.

Suns -7.5 @ 10/11

My final pick comes from the Footprint Center as the Phoenix Suns host the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday morning (03:15, live on TNT Sports 3).

The Suns will be looking to pick up their fifth win on the bounce, while Philly have stumbled into the campaign, losing four of their opening five matches.

Paul George - a big-name addition in the off-season for the Sixers - is yet to feature this term due to injury, but he's expected to suit up on Monday night, barring any unexpected setbacks, which would be a welcomed boost for the visitors.

However, the Suns have looked excellent so far, breezing past Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday to win their fourth game on the spin - a run that includes victories over fellow Western Conference contenders such as the Dallas Mavericks, LA Lakers and LA Clippers.

The Sixers threw away a nine-point lead against Memphis last time out, and failed to make their early dominance count. The Footprint Center isn't a happy hunting ground for them, either - they've lost each of their last five matches their since beating the Suns 132-127 in January 2019.

Phoenix have put together a solid start to then season, and will have too much for a shorthanded Philadelphia side.
