The NBA continues on Monday night and into the early hours of Tuesday morning, with eight matches taking place.

The likes of the Boston Celtics, the Golden State Warriors and the Milwaukee Bucks are all in action, and I've picked out what I think are the best bets for Monday's games.

NBA Betting Tips

  • Milwaukee Bucks @ Washington Wizards - Bucks (-8.5) @ 4/5
  • Houston Rockets @ Golden State Warriors - Warriors (-7.5) @ 10/11
  • New York Knicks @ Minnesota Timberwolves - Timberwolves (-3.5) @ EVS
  • Boston Celtics @ Charlotte Hornets - Celtics (-9.5) @ 10/11

Accumulator of 12.12/1

Milwaukee Bucks @ Washington Wizards - Bucks (-8.5) @ 4/5

At 3-3 for the season, the Bucks haven’t exactly impressed so far in road games, but they’re slowly starting to find form, and they're currently on a four-game win streak.

Their last two away games finished with 31 and 16 point victories at Charlotte and Toronto, and on paper, tonight’s game against the slumping Wizards looks a lot easier than both of those.

Washington’s woes continued with yet another double-digit loss, this time at the hands of the Knicks, meaning they've now lost five in a row.

If the Bucks take this game seriously, which they should, there is no way Washington can come within striking distance. Milwaukee are simply better at every single position.

Houston Rockets @ Golden State Warriors - Warriors (-7.5) @ 10/11

Fresh off of their one-point loss against the Lakers last night, the Houston Rockets head to San Francisco to take on the Warriors.

The Rockets hung in well against LA but they'll be devastated to have narrowly lost that game. They'll need more than the 104 points they scored against the Lakers tonight, as the Warriors have beaten them in 11 games in a row.

However, this may be a good time to face Golden State, as they're currently on a six-game losing streak which is unheard of for this franchise in recent years. Steph Curry has missed a few games due to injury, and it shows how reliant the Warriors have been on the point guard - the likes of Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins need to step up. I think they will eventually, but the Dubs can't keep relying on Curry.

Backing a team that’s just 1-6 in seven home games this season and currently on a six-game losing streak doesn’t sound all that wise from a betting standpoint. However, it’s the Warriors. Eventually Klay will get it going, Curry will be unstoppable and the Rockets are playing the second game of a back-to-back.

I'm taking Golden State.

New York Knicks @ Minnesota Timberwolves - Timberwolves (-3.5) @ EVS

The Timberwolves return from a successful five-game road trip here to take on the New York Knicks.

Minnesota won four of those five games, and have won nine of 12 to start the season. Each of the Timberwolves' last four wins has come by single digits, so confidence will be high in the locker room.

The Knicks are riding a three-game winning streak, and have won six of their past seven games, including a decisive 122-108 victory over Charlotte last time out.

On paper, this looks a close contest, but I think the form of Minnesota is too good to ignore.

Boston Celtics @ Charlotte Hornets - Celtics (-9.5) @ 10/11

The Celtics are unsurprisingly heavy favourites for their trip to North Carolina.

The Hornets are attempting to snap a six-game home losing streak here, while Boston are on a six-game winning streak of their own. LaMelo Ball has been the standout player for Charlotte so far this season, but it's difficult to see the Hornets troubling the C's here.

The hosts are still trying to find themselves with their rotation as players are underperforming in key situations, while Boston have plenty of options when it comes to scoring, and their firepower should be too much for Charlotte here.
