The NBA action continues on Friday night with a plethora of matches to look at, and we've picked out our best bets for the upcoming games.

NBA Betting Tips

  • Knicks @ 76ers - Knicks (+6.5) @ 5/6
  • Pistons @ Warriors - Warriors (-9.5) @ 10/11
  • Grizzlies @ Lakers - Grizzlies (+4.5) @ 10/11

Treble pays 5.68/1

Knicks @ 76ers - Knicks (+6.5) @ 5/6

The OG Anunoby era is off to a fabulous start, after the former Raptor has made key contributions in the victories over Minnesota and Chicago, however, Friday's matchup against the 76ers will be the toughest test so far.

Only four of the last 20 encounters between these two teams have swung New York's way, and the Knicks have won just twice in their last 13 visits to Wells Fargo Center.

Joel Embiid made a triumphant return to the Philly lineup against the Bulls, after missing a few games in December due to injury. The reigning MVP had 31 points, and with the likes of Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris backing him up as scoring options, the 76ers are a solid unit going forward.

I think the two teams are closely-matched, but Embiid serves as the x-factor here as the Knicks simply don't have the size to match up to him. However, New York have impressed me in recent weeks, and the addition of Anunoby further increases their defensive excellence around the perimeter.

I'm uncertain of the match result, but I'll take the Knicks to cover.

Pistons @ Warriors - Warriors (-9.5) @ 10/11

The Golden State Warriors will be hoping to bounce back from a demoralising defeat against the Denver Nuggets last night.

The Warriors blew an 18-point lead in the fourth quarter, and Nikola Jokic capped a 34-point night with a buzzer-beater from just beyond midcourt to break Northern Californian hearts.

However, they probably won't get a better opportunity to respond than the one that presents itself on Friday night. The Detroit Pistons have the worst record in the entire NBA. They rank 25th in the league for points per game, and the Warriors should have too much firepower here.

Grizzlies @ Lakers - Grizzlies (+4.5) @ 10/11

After a red-hot 4-0 start with Ja Morant back in the lineup, the Grizzlies are currently in the midst of a disappointing 1-4 run, but they are taking on a wounded Lakers team here, which gives them a chance to turn things around.

There's reports of unrest in the Lakers' locker room, and the defeat against Miami on Wednesday night was their eighth in 10 games.

Although LA have won four of the last five against Memphis, the atmosphere surrounding the team is toxic at the moment, and rumblings continue around the security of Darvin Ham's job as head coach.

A motivated Morant can lead the Grizzlies to victory here, in my opinion, or at the very least cover the spread.
