NBA Betting Tips: 9/1 shot for Friday night’s action

Friday sees more NBA action heading our way, with tip off times starting at midnight through till the early hours of Saturday morning.

Read on for my NBA betting tips for tonight's games, which features a 9/1 treble.

Philadelphia 76ers vs Indiana Pacers - 76ers on moneyline @ 4/11

My treble starts at the Wells Fargo Center as the Philadelphia 76ers play host to the Indiana Pacers.

The Pacers will be hoping they can put a tough stretch of games behind them when they take to the court in the City of Brotherly Love, as the Blue and Gold have dropped five of their last six outings. Their offensive output was the best in the league last season, but they haven't been able to maintain that level this term.

Injuries have plagued Philly for most of the campaign but their all-star 'big three' of Paul George, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey are all expected to play here. Momentum has also started to shift on the results front, as the Sixers have won four of their last five games.

I reckon Philly can come out on top at home, especially since the Pacers are in dire form heading into this contest.

Denver Nuggets vs Los Angeles Clippers - Clippers (+6.5) @ 10/11

My second pick comes from the Western Conference match-up between the Denver Nuggets and LA Clippers.

A four-day break is exactly what the Clippers needed after back-to-back losses to Minnesota and Houston, and they'll be eager to respond here against a Nuggets team that they've already beaten twice this season.

James Harden, who struggled in the loss to Minnesota and didn't even suit up against the Rockets, has been excellent against Denver this term, averaging 31 points and 13.5 assists.

I'm still yet to figure out if Denver are a contender for the championship this season. Nikola Jokic is enjoying a historic run, accumulating 104 points, 30 rebounds and 16 assists over his last two games, however, the rest of the Denver line-up have been underwhelming, and injuries have played their part, too.

I think this is a favourable match-up for the Clippers as they seem to have Denver's number this year, so I'm taking them to cover the spread.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Los Angeles Lakers - Lakers on moneyline @ 3/1

My final pick sees the Minnesota Timberwolves welcome the LA Lakers to the Target Center in another all-Western Conference contest.

The Lakers have had four days to prepare for this clash while the NBA Cup knockout rounds conclude, and ultimately, that might benefit a team that started hot but has flamed out recently, going 3-7 over their past 10 games.

LeBron James is expected to miss out through injury here, but LA were excellent in his absence in the 107-98 win over Portland on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have been the opposite as a team, starting the season slowly but have been rising up recently. That was until they met the Golden State Warriors last time out, losing 114-106 and ending a four-game winning streak in the process.

Four of the past five games have been close between these two, so I can see the Lakers sneaking this one on the moneyline. The only game that wasn't a tight contest was the most recent meeting, which resulted in a blowout win for Minnesota.

At 3/1, I'm taking the Lakers to respond.
