MLB Betting Tips: Back Yankees bats to go quiet against Cameron

The New York Yankees take centre stage on TNT Sports 1 on Tuesday night as the Kansas City Royals arrive at Yankee Stadium for the first of a three-game set (19:40 local, 00:40 BST).
That’s one of the two clashes to focus in on as we come off the back of a nice winning bet in the total runs market on Monday. Here are my MLB Betting Tips for Tuesday.
MLB Betting Tips - Tuesday, June 10
Royals vs Yankees: Under 7.5 Total Runs @ 7/5
Hear me out. Yes, the Yankees sure can slug. Yes, the Royals are sat in fourth spot in an AL Central in which it would be difficult to pip the Chicago White Sox to fifth given how bad the Southsiders are.
But in Noah Cameron, the Royals have a rookie pitcher who really looks legit. So much so, that even with the return from injury of Cole Ragans, they are sticking with the seventh-round draft pick and switching to a six-man rotation.
Since being promoted to the 26-man roster at the end of April, Cameron has gone 2-2 with a stunning 0.85 ERA. In all five of his big-league starts he has pitched six or more innings and allowed one or zero runs.
If he can deliver a sixth straight quality start, then there’s every reason to believe this one turns into a real pitching duel. Max Fried goes to the bump for the Yankees with sparkling figures of his own.
He’s 8-1 this season since arriving in free agency from the Atlanta Braves, with an excellent 1.78 ERA. His only loss came two starts ago against the Dodgers, when he conceded six runs on eight hits in five frames, but he was right back at it in his next go when throwing six scoreless when the Guardians came to the Bronx.
So I’m throwing my weight behind the two starters setting the tone and looking at a total of seven runs or fewer at a generous 7/5 with its implied 41.7% probability.

Rockies vs Guardians: Handicap – Giants -3.5 @ 7/5
Here’s another 7/5 pick for you, as I give the San Francisco Giants the benefit of the doubt against the very, very, very bad Colorado Rockies at Coors Field (18:40 local, 01:40 BST).
The Giants haven’t exactly been on fire with the bat this year, ranking only 19th for runs per game across the majors so far. But taken into account the Coors Field factor, any edge they have here ought to be exaggerated.
They’re up against Rockies starter Carson Palmquist, against whom none of their active roster have never hit, but his 0-4 record with an 8.50 ERA since making it to the bigs in mid-May says it all about his early struggles.
Kyle Harrison suits up for the Giants looking to improve on a 1-1, 4.34 start since being recalled five weeks ago. After initially coming out of the ‘pen, he has settled into the rotation despite a 4.1-inning, five-run showing against the Padres last time out.
Had this been at a more pitcher-friendly ballpark I might have gone with a smaller margin, but at Coors there’s every chance that a superiority can be pretty quickly expanded on the scoreboard, so I’m backing the 38-28 Giants to sail home by four or more.
