New jersey nets met life stadium scaled

Black Friday is all about the shopping right? Wrong, It's also about the NFL and we have a cracking looking game between the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins from MetLife stadium (20:00). We've previewed this AFC East dust-up and given you our betting predictions.

Jets vs Dolphins Betting Tips

  • Dolphins -9.5 Handicap - 10/11
  • Tyreek Hill +74.5 Rec Yards and a TD - 13/10

The 4-6 Jets' season is looking like a total bust, with star signing Aaron Rodgers injured in the opening game and back-up quarterback Zach Wilson benched as of this week.

In comes veteran QB Tim Boyle, who has played just 18 games in five seasons and has a TD-INT record of 3-9. Future Hall of Famer Rodgers is apparently busting a gut to try and get back for the end of the season but with playoffs looking extremely unlikely, isn't it a better idea for him to just get right for 2024?

Meanwhile, the Dolphins continue to look like a potential Super Bowl contender under Tua Tagovailoa and put the disappointment of the loss to the Chiefs behind them, with a solid win over the Raiders on Sunday night.

Wide Receiver Tyreek Hill picked up another 100+ yard game and a touchdown to boot and looks like he could possibly still hit 2000 scrimmage yards for the season. He forms part of a ridiculously strong offense that will trouble any side and surely will give the hapless Jets serious problems.

Team news

The Jets look in pretty good physical shape for this one with only CB Michael Carter II (Hamstring) unable to take part in practice.

De’Von Achane looks like a last-minute decision for Dolphins boss Mike McDaniel, who is hoping to have the running back fit for Friday's game but doesn't want a repeat of week 11, where he lasted just three snaps.

Game odds

As expected Miami are huge favourites for this one at 1/5 S/U, with New York out as 19/5 outsiders. The Dolphins are a -9.5 favourite against the spread at 10/11.

This one looks fairly low scoring at a 40.5 line with the Jets struggling offensively and Miami also failing to pass 20+ points in three of their last four games.

Dolphins -9.5 Handicap - 10/11

The Jets are a hot mess right now and you have to feel for Wilson, who is clearly a talented guy but who is shot on confidence and playing behind a terrible O-line.

It's a sign of how bad their season is going that they've brought in the likes of Tim Boyle to lead the team and the Fins defense should have a field day attacking him.

The Miami offense hasn't been clicking 100% in recent games but they still possess some serious firepower in Tua, Hill, Waddell, Achane and Mostert.

I'm taking the Dolphins to cover the spread fairly handily.

Tyreek Hill +74.5 Rec Yards and a TD - 13/10

It's no coincidence that the Kansas City Chiefs offense is stuttering at the moment, whilst the Cheetah is ripping up the league receiving charts.

It's safe to say that the 29-year-old would have caught Patrick Mahomes bomb with ease, that Marquez Valdes-Scantling dropped against the Eagles, costing them the game.

Now though, it's Tua's deep passes that Tyreek is paid to catch and boy is he doing it with style and panache. Hill has nine touchdowns and a league leading 1,222 reception yards.

He should clear this line with ease and hopefully bad a tenth TD of the season in the process.
