Saturday - 21:30

Texans (+7.5) @ Chiefs

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Texans
  • Alan: Texans
  • Jonny: Chiefs
  • Neil: Texans

Moneyline: Chiefs 2/9, Texans 16/5

Straight Up:

  • Adam: Chiefs
  • Alan: Texans
  • Jonny: Chiefs

Comments: It's the old rest vs rust argument in place at Arrowhead on Saturday evening as the #1 AFC seed Kansas City Chiefs host the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round. The majority of KC's starters haven't played a snap in anger for three weeks and it remains to be seen just how sharp they will be on the night.

2x MVP Patrick Mahomes is looking to lead his side to an unprecedented three-peat but completed his own personal trio this week with the birth of his third child Golden-Raye. The uber-talented #15 has had statistically his worst year as a starter for the Chiefs but as someone who has watched every play of theirs this year, trust me, he's playing better than ever. He has been unbelievably clutch on third-downs and also in the fourth quarter when it really matters.

For the Texans, they come here off the back of a magnificent 32-12 whooping of the Chargers in the Wildcard round, where Houston looked good on both sides of the ball. However, they will need to go up several levels here in Missouri, against a side that have Championship DNA.

I fully expect Andy Reid's Franchise to win this game but the Chiefs have struggled on offense and blowing teams out this season. They have yet to register over 31 points in a game but their big players will stand up and get this done. It will be tight though and I think CJ Stroud and Nico Collins will make it tight enough to cover the spread. - Adam

Sunday - 01:00

Commanders (+9.5) @ Lions

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Lions
  • Alan: Lions
  • Jonny: Lions
  • Neil: Lions

Moneyline: Lions 2/11, Commanders 19/5

Straight Up:

  • Adam: Lions
  • Alan: Lions
  • Jonny: Lions
  • Neil: Lions

Comments: Washington have enjoyed an excellent season and Jayden Daniels looks like a franchise QB who can take them deep in January many times throughout his career. Not this time though.

Detroit have been a juggernaut and they have an offense who can beat you any which way. Jared Goff is more than efficient in the passing game. Amon-Ra St. Brown is a stud at receiver. Sam LaPorta is a stud at Tight End. Jahmyr Gibbs is a stud at Running Back and get this, his backfield buddy David Montgomery is trending towards a return as well. They have all the pieces on that side of the ball to put up a big number.

With this game being at home, I think the home field advantage comes into play and this is the most one-sided game of the weekend - Neil

Sunday - 20:00

Rams (+5.5) @ Eagles

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Rams
  • Alan: Rams
  • Jonny: Rams
  • Neil: Eagles

Moneyline: Eagles 4/11, Rams 21/10

Straight Up:

  • Adam: Eagles
  • Alan: Rams
  • Jonny: Eagles
  • Neil: Eagles

Comments: I correctly predicted a Rams victory against the Vikings for their Wildcard Weekend match-up, but I think this is a step too far for LA.

The Eagles beat the Rams 37-20 in late November at SoFi Stadium, and Philly are are 6-0 in franchise history in home games in the conference semi-final round, which doesn't bode well for Sean McVay's side.

However, I don't anticipate this encounter as being as high scoring as the November meeting. Defence will be key here, and I expect Los Angeles to keep this game competitive, and Philly's offensive quality wins the tie late on - Jonny

Sunday - 23:30

Ravens (-1.5) @ Bills

Picks ATS:

  • Adam: Ravens
  • Alan: Bills
  • Jonny: Ravens
  • Neil: Bills

Moneyline: Bills 20/21, Ravens 5/6

Straight Up:

  • Adam: Ravens
  • Alan: Bills
  • Jonny: Ravens
  • Neil: Bills

Comments: Well; it's Buffalo's Josh Allen vs Baltimore's Lamar Jackson. Two incredibly gifted QBs who lead their teams from the front, side, every which way.

It says a lot for Lamar and the potency of the Ravens in general that they're asked to concede points on the spread given that the mighty Bills have home field. It's almost a pick 'em in all but name and it's a brave soul who'll be too dogmatic about this outcome.

The NFL's prestigious MVP award is due to be announced I understand on February 6, just a few days before Super Bowl LIX, and it's pretty short odds that one of these two will be taking it home. This Divisional clash could have some bearing on the voting, and if the winner were to also take the AFC Championship and secure a Super Bowl spot surely that would be game, set and match.

These two elite franchises had very similar regular-season records, scored and conceded virtually in tandem, but perhaps the Ravens in the more competitive North had a little more on their plate.

Total offense - nothing in it, stats-wise. The Bills allow less yards but we're talking Lamar here, shooting for a crack at the AFC crown and perhaps more. The Bills edge passing yards, Ravens are more lethal on the deck. Go figure.

I can't wait for this one, and have admittedly limited confidence in what I'm about to type, but could it be that the Fates are about to touch Josh Allen on the shoulder and whisper 'it's your year, Son.' - Alan

Season Records:

Against the Spread:

  • Adam – 124-93
  • Alan – 112-105
  • Jonny – 124-109
  • Neil – 111-95

Straight Up:

  • Adam – 148-69
  • Alan – 128-89
  • Jonny – 160-73
  • Neil – 125-81
