A heavyweight Eastern Conference clash takes place on Monday night (00:00 Tuesday morning UK time) as the Milwaukee Bucks welcome the Miami Heat to the Fiserv Forum Arena.

Both sides are looking to respond from defeats - the Bucks lost 127-110 to Atlanta on Sunday, despite a team-high 26 points from Giannis Antetokounmpo, while the Heat were beaten 106-90 by Minnesota.

Bucks vs Heat Prediction

  • Milwaukee Bucks (-5.5) @ EVS
  • Over 223.5 points @ 10/11

Team News

Khris Middleton did not suit up for Milwaukee on Sunday, but should be involved here which is a huge boost to the Bucks' offense.

As for Miami, Jimmy Butler didn't feature in their loss to Minnesota last time out, so he is expected to return to the fold alongside Kevin Love and Caleb Martin.

Match Odds

The Bucks are the firm favourites on the money line for this match at 5/11, while the Heat are 7/4 to claim the victory. If you exclude overtime, the hosts are 8/15 to win while, Miami are 9/5.

Over 223.5 total points can be backed at 10/11, and it's the same price if you fancy under 223.5 points to be scored.

Milwaukee Bucks (-5.5) @ EVS

The Bucks suffered a first-round exit in the playoffs last season courtesy of Miami, so they will be eager get some form of revenge here.

Damian Lillard, who was the big-name acquisition for Milwaukee during the offseason, was rumoured to have Miami as his 'top destination' when requested a trade out of Portland, who he will be motivated to show the Heat what they've missed out on.

Miami have started the season slowly, scraping past the Pistons in their season-opener, before losing against Boston and Minnesota.

I expect the Bucks to control this game from start to finish.

Over 223.5 points @ 10/11

These are two high-scoring teams - Milwaukee have scored at least 110 points in all three of their games so far this season, and Miami put up 103 points against Detroit, 111 in the loss against the Celtics, and 90 in the defeat against the Timberwolves.

Damian Lillard and Jimmy Butler are two prolific scorers, and if they both get hot here, it could turn into an offensive shootout.

The Heat's defense hasn't been as good as last season early doors, so I'm backing the over on the points total.
